That’s his whole shtick tho, whenever Conan introduces him he always says Jarod “thinks” he’s a zoologist (he actually is a real zoologist) and that he’s in way over his head. The funny thing is that I think he’s only like this on Conan, I watched him on another show and he was a completely different character.

"You know what a lemur is, right?" Tbh, that's not a weird question when you have an interest in something most people have vague knowledge of. I have to make myself do that if I find myself blabbing about dinosaurs. I'm far from an expert, but I know more about them than the average person. And while I would think an ankylosaurus is a commonly known dinosaur, I've learned I usually have to double check the other person actually has any clue what I'm talking about and if I have to describe "the turtle-tank-lizard with the club tail (no, not the stegosaur, the other tank one)".

Conan is criminally under rated and underappreciated, hes one of the greatest talk show hosts of all time Ive always laughed my behind off watching him and just seems like a real guy not some fake clown like the clowns on today
