When I was much younger, I remember having 'AJ boyfriends' it never got too serious or weird thankfully though. It was just like having a normal friend but you'd do cheesy things like go to restaurants and dances together. One time I even gave one person a rare nm glove, and they never took it off. I feel like a lot of the time people just did the dating thing out of boredom though, and thought it'd be funny? Myself included- But I'm sure there was plenty of less innocent situations though, so this is purely my experience! (And I definitely wouldn't recommend doing this, as it's dangerous and there's far better things to do, y'know?)

Flashbacks to AJ dating- There’s also a bit of, not really a problem, but it’s difficult for Jammers, like how you’ve mentioned some fake their genders. But for some who are part of LGBT such as myself, who use a different gender other than their assigned gender. Because it’s not their fault, like sometimes I go to school roles and play as a girl and then some guy just asks me to be his prom date. Or I chose a male OC and a girl asks to be my crush. I can’t really control the things others do when I’m using a different identity. Cuz IK that some people aren’t tryna date and stuff on AJ they just wanna enjoy themselves.

I understand this! I'm trans and i played ajpw before i even knew i was, and i ended up playing on school role plays as a boy character even though i expressed myself as a girl on my account. I knew i was bi by then so these charchers were fruity guys to. I am more into masculine people than feminine ones even if both are very attractive so i literally was me before i knew myself at all. Omg thank you for making this comment i just relized alot of things i did before i knew i was trans that screamed im trans. :D I feel even beter about my identity now! :D

I remember one of my most popular videos I made like 5 years ago was a choppy scratch animation joking about the animal jam yt ships that was basically like "wisteriamoon is too good for y'all have fun fighting over her". I guess I've always felt that shipping real people, even their characters that represent them, is weird. I also remember doing animal jam dating rps, I just saw it as similar to family rps or warrior cats rps, I didn't feel bad about going on a date with one person, then after they leave going to find another one, I never thought it could be "cheating" because it was a rp to me, not a relationship. For similar reasons I sometimes did play along if I was wearing a more "masculine" outfit and someone asked me on a "date" cause I just saw it as pointless fun. It was a bit annoying though when people constantly thought I was a guy for wearing my favorite outfits just cause I rlly didn't like the eyelash eyes on most animals.

in my opinion, this is something that was caused by the player base, i dont think its exactly wildworks fault although they could have put more restrictions. this is something that happened in literally every other kids game i played when i was younger. most notably, i think the worst was movie star planet. but even now days in popular online kids games its still happening, like on roblox. but i agree, i just wish all these developers would put more measures in place to keep their young fan base safe

Side note before I put what I came down here to comment: I love the art you did in this video! I've been obsessed with MLP again recently, and Spike and Thorax in your style is adorable! When I was younger (10-11 years old), when I first started playing AJ, I would pretend that my account was a shared account. I would play as both the "brother" and the "sister" (I'm an only child). I would even do videos on KZbin where I'd say stuff about "oh, I'm gonna level up my brother's animal today" or "my sister left it on her animal again." When I had discovered the wonderful world of Pillow Room roleplays, at first, I would be a kid who'd get adopted. That evolved into me being the parent adopting the kid, and then one day, I saw a girl looking for a boyfriend. I was currently playing on one of the boy arctic wolves on my account, so I became this random girl's boyfriend. We became really good friends and hung out all the time, but eventually my account got randomly banned for a reason AJHQ wouldn't explain to me, and I never found the girl again.

i have a cute story about this, i met my first partner on animal jam (more specifcally a skype server for the game) i was 14 at the time just minding my buisness when someone joined our little skype group, on their account it had their location and they were in the same state as me, i was so amazed someone could live this close to me and like the same things as me!! we got to talking more and more and when i turned 15 they asked me to be their girlfriend, it was my first ever relationship, hell the first ever person i even liked, i didnt know i was gay at that point but said yes anyway, we were together for 10 months and actually met up once during those months, they were my first kiss and the first time i'd ever felt so close to someone months and years go by and we continued talking, we barely play the game anymore apart to come back for nostalgia but we're 18 now and they're still the love of my life, we see eachother almost every week sometimes more and often joke about the way we met now that we're adults its really cute and fun to look back on :)

When I was younger and playing ajpw I sadly gotten involved in the weird side of the game. Was with my old online friends and this weirdo came up to us, saying how he wanted to do things to my friend, and we argued and left. For a few days after he came back weirder and more annoying. He straight up STALKED us nonstop. He would do breeding dens and strip clubs and we would see it all the time. and it;s Been like that for 2 years since my friend refused to block or lock her den since she thought the whole situation was funny. Me and others of our old friend group thought someone keeps pretending to be the stalker, but we couldnt pinpoint who or how so we just drifted off and it stopped. This all started when I was in 4th grade btw :/ i didnt rlly think of it now until recently and wow has that been terrible. I really do not want to go through that again, and the toxicity of it either. It was all over the place.

Omg I literally had a whole story with my tiger OC where Greely continuously pulls them down (mentally) even though their self esteem is already in the drain but as their going down slowly with the parachute it pops and the phantoms catch them, and because of all the built up courage a phantom type I made (Phantom Tamer: if a captured animals courage is high enough they’ll be corrupted, they’ll act like normal phantoms and will attack you like the AJPW style of fighting, but instead of paintseeds you have to attack any part of their body that looks like the phantom goop, if you hit them enough the goop will explode and so will the animal, you will then never see that specific animal in the phantom dimension again. ((BC YOU KILLED THEM)) chose them to be an ally with the phantoms, and then corrupted them so they can’t be mistaken for normal animals. And is basically a slave to the phantoms, and ends up being forgotten by the alphas, not getting help from them in any way shape or form.

This really can be a problem sometimes- I once accidentally did the dirty with someone on ajpw, since I didn't understand what it was at the time. I was only either 8 or 9, and had no clue what was going on until a bit later, where I reported them. Thankfully, they got banned soon after, but it still is something I remember all too well. I feel like it does get a bit out of control when someone can just pick up a kid by just asking, "Who is a girl?". I feel like it might have gotten a bit better today, but that's just what I've been able to see.

I remember i dated someone in ajpw at around 2018-2019 My account was actually set to bubble chat mode bc the person who controlled my account saw me talk to other people, which is basically the whole point of the game Anywho, my animal was a blue and yellow Arabian horse with a blue and yellow spiked collar, nothing too special, but apparently it was enough for one person to assume I was a boy, which I am not Anywho, I don't really remember how we started dating, but I think they just flirted with me and I decided to play along and respond with the limited bubble chat speech, I mostly remember what happened while we were dating tho At one point they adopted a child, but I didn't really interact much with them, it was mostly me and the person I dated talking to eachother, nothing innapropriate or creepy, and they never asked for personal info if I'm correct. The closest I ever got to dating in AJ was when I first joined. My (now ex) boyfriend and I were just looking for new animal games to try out, since the one we had been playing, Sanctum of Eventide (an old Impressive Title server), had recently shut down. We ended up finding Animal Jam and just used it to hang out with each other when we didn't feel like being on Skype. I was 18 at the time, so obviously I never tried to date anyone else in the game after my boyfriend and I broke up. Oh my god, this one time I was on wattpad and bored, typing up random things to see if they existed, so I typed up 'animal jam' and was shocked to actually find stuff come up, including PHANTOM X READERS- I wish I was joking, that stuff LITERALLY EXISTS and I am still so confused to this day

So I was pretending to be a grandma ( for a joke ) and I randomly met someone in a school rp, they became my grandson ( also like a joke ) and I met another person, I’m not naming names because I haven’t asked them if they wanted me to talk about this, so just call them E for now. E liked my grandson and asked him out and got rejected. E went to their den and ALMOST deleted Animal Jam because of this. 😅

Random flashback aj story, I was at a school roleplay and I used an arctic wolf (let's admit it, most everyone used arctic wolves for roleplays) I went up to the second floor of the den and a dude came up to me and said "Wanna be my GF?" and I said no, then he started to push me into being his GF, saying that he will give me rares and stuff, but I won't budge, after that he went around begging ppl to be his GF, then one girl heard that he wants a gf and will give them RARES, so she became his GF and the first thing she said to him is " Now can you give me rares." Then I left after that.

i never was into alphas tbh but i do remember that there was this one kid who thought i was a boy (animal jam classic) because my eyes were like the "evil eyes" and then started "dating me" i kinda thought it was cool for attention (because i was like 8 at the time) until they got mad at me because i didnt tell them that i was a girl and "broke up with me" it was weird, one day they liked me, the next they ghosted me/hated me weird times...

Once I was playing aj play wild. I was a kid. I was making some punk rock wolf, tiger and snake characters because I thought they looked cool. Some random (obviously female looking) jammer approached me and just sent heart emojis over and over. At first I shrugged it off but then I questioned what it all meant. They said "I like you" I was like "as a friend" and they were like "no I like like you" and I was like "I literally have never spoken to you before you don't even know my gender" they responded "I don't care". I left the the area to another peice of land in aj. I was a girl btw, I was just making male characters and my other aj oc's were mostly gender less or girls but I didn't like how the eyelash eyes looked on aj so I didn't use them

ah yes the golden years of aj... i can definitely say I in fact did draw youtuber ships. maybe not markiplier like most people did but it was with the ones i knew like aparri and Julian2 i didn't necessarily like any of them except for the one in particular that was real at one time (i won't say who it was you all probably know) I even made my own ship of two of my favorite KZbinrs. apparently no one else liked it because i was sent hate comments for it but it was all in all very fun while it lasted. it was one of the reasons why I'm an artist today.

I've had problems such as me not wearing eyelashes causing females to come after me. I don't wear eyelashes on some animals- And this is because, In my opinion, some outfits look better without it. I've shipped canon characters before, but I don't much anymore.

Ik this is an old video but I was groomed on animal jam. I was only 10-11 at the time and I genuinely really liked this person and I didn’t know they were older than me until eventually he told me to get this certain app to talk on. He ended up calling me and I realized he was much older since his voice was deep. I felt dirty and gross by the stuff he would send me and I wish I hadn’t gone through that. I’m now 17 and the other day I got curious and searched him up on Google and his Twitter popped up and I found out he’s 23 now..
