His profound journey into the world of photography was sparked by a life-changing encounter with a Spanish galgo hound named Leena, who he credits with saving his life during a personal bout with depression. Galgos, tragically mistreated in Spain due to hunting superstitions, resonated deeply with Patenaude, leading him and his wife to establish Love Hope Believe Galgo Adoption. Initially mentored by HeARTs Speak in 2014, he learned to capture the essence of these dogs to aid their adoption. Although a cyber security IT expert for his county’s government, Travis reserves summer months for his growing pet photography passion. His compelling story was recently shared with Nikki Closser on The Portrait System Podcast, where he spotlighted the transformative power of these majestic dogs.
