You’d think that five senses would be enough. But nature proves time and time again that they’re not. Barn swallows see magnetic fields. Sting rays sense tiny electrical charges, and among some animals, the basic five senses get stretched to their limit. These animals are the specialists, who have mastered their own place in the world. Which of these creatures do you like the best? Let us know in the comments.

Love a nature documentary, but the military framing is constant and a little weird. Edit: I realize now it is just the nature of this particular series which may not be for me, but the rest of the documentary work is lovely.

The barn swallow population is decreasing in Europe, and in some places you now almost see them as an exotic bird; I see children asking what kind of bird are those nesting near a house... Spring in Europe has now become something resembling a desert shower when everything blooms for just a short period of weeks, it's either Winter or Summer, or something different every other week.
