The JFW Movie Awards 2024 saw actor Siddharth win the Man of the Year award for his brilliant involvement in the movie Chithha ! He spoke about how people celebrated toxic films like Animal but couldn't watch his movie Chithha as they found it disturbing!
Siddharth gives an emotional speech on child abuse and Chithha and how he got various messages from many girls calling him Chithha and telling their difficult story! The audiences were emotional and gave him a standing ovation! A movie which dealt with child abuse and which a lot of actors might have avoided because of the heavy subject, Siddharth not only acted but also produced the film! His viral speech at the awards was shared by many people as he compared the movie Animal and the violence associated with that, the support he had from the audience and much more!
He was awarded the Man of the Year from Suhasini Maniratnam! He was associated with Madras Talkies as an assistant director before becoming an actor, and talks about how he will always be a Madras Talkies product!

You all needed 2 men to come forward and create awareness about the sensitive topic of child and women sexual abuse and chose to garner them with awards. But, when the same topic was raised to create an awareness back in 2018 by a popular playback singer and dubbing artist, that woman was banned by the film industry, verbally abused, slut shamed, and what not by the people of Tamil Nadu, just for speaking the truth and standing with victims of sexual abuse. This industry and audience still continues to cheer men like singer Karthik who has been a cause of distress for multiple women. Shame!
