Animalcatraz Final Thoughts

The art and theme definitely draw me in, don’t mind at all the “playground” nature of it. I’d always way rather run around and cause havoc than go for the most strategic path to a win. Curious if all the modules you talked about are all locked behind the “Legacy” aspect of the game (do you know?), which unfortunately is only in the deluxe version :( That’s a shame, cos as cool as those minis are, I have too many minis already and the standees look pretty cool as they are.

when we received the copy we played with (over a year ago now) the game was still WIP. everything seemed to be part of the base box and in the core rulebook, albeit a bit unpolished at the time. Looking at the kickstarter now, it appears that the envelopes with different modules are exclusive to the box with minis/legacy version. that is a unfortunate as i think the game was better with some of the extra moduals added in. I kind of understand it becuase the version we did our playthrough with was a very stuffed and chaotic box. It woud be nice if they had the option of the legacy game content without the minis, i do like the standees. I saw some people asking about that in comments on the campaign, no idea if it will get traction tho. hope that helps

@@zacharygroombridge6511 Hey Zachary! It's been a while indeed ( more than a year ago! ) But happy it finally came out and funded in 27 hours, not bad! Indeed, since you played and reviewed it, the game has been polished up. The points you have made in the "final thoughts" video have been adressed, and working to better the game all the time.

@@zacharygroombridge6511 In terms of the Legacy Expansion: It's going to stay as the exclusive element + normal state Minis + prison tattoos that differenciate the Deluxe box ( KINGPIN Edition from the BREAKOUT Edition with the Standees. Speaking of the Standees, as you mention, popular demand ( from the "comments" section on the KS page and many emails I received regarding that. ) have brought me to offer the Standees as an Add-on for the KINGPIN Edition with low pricing. This will be available online starting tomorrow, Nov. 6th
