The level of detail attempted is impressive. But sometimes, as with dragonflies, many details were left hanging. What does that insect do with 30 opsins? Are they vestigial or all active now? The difference between binocularity and stereopsis is important, but was left unexplained. Also, I very much appreciate the use of scientific terminology, but many viewers might appreciate a brief definition of certain terms, like photon, retina, peripheral, opsin, acuity, etc.
