Chickens are actually pretty smart. Scientists have identified 24 different calls that have distinct meanings, such as warning for a flying predator. And they've also noted that roosters will do this call if a female is nearby, but if it's only the rooster and a competitor rooster it *won't* warn it's rival about the predator it spotted. There's other things as well, such as how they recognize people by looks and can tell a fox plushie from a real fox at a glance. Though that last one is partially because they are very sensitive to motion and can tell the plushie isn't moving like a fox.

regarding jaguars climbing while holding heavy things: when I was a kid we had a pet cat who would catch rabbits/hares as big as him and jump up onto the six foot fence that surrounded the back part of our property with said critter in his mouth. He was both fairly large and made of VERY solid muscle. Also, housecats can immitate the sounds of some of the birds they eat pretty well too.

Those freaky goats look like something out of Parasite Eve 2. I remember the beaver story from Fat Electrician, he's seen silly stuff for his channel and I think even this one shocked him. Turkeys are very dumb, one came into our yard to look at a litter of kittens as apparently it thought they were baby turkeys. They also are too dumb to fly high above the road so they slam into the side of cars.
@RaichuWizDomАй бұрын
@Rosiebellmoo The folks at the Cairngorn national park explain it better, but about the reindeer thing: the reason those animals can eat toxic mushrooms is because a) they're ruminants, they have multiple stomachs and plenty of gut bacteria to handle stuff normal animals can't and b) one of those bacteria can break down the specific toxins of that mushroom. Pretty sure it's a fly agaric. Bottom line being: it's not even the reindeer themselves that are immune, they just have special bacteria in their stomachs. Like they've eaten turbo-yoghurt. Highly recommend the reindeer myths busted on their blog, incidentally, there's quite a few things that are commonly misreported and in need of debunking (like Santa's reindeer being female, or the whole Rudolph thing)

My goodness. Imagine if human women screamed like that when they wanted to play smash. Also, almost all cats mimic. That's why sometimes it sounds like your cat is responding if you say things like "yeah" or "I know" when they meow. I have videos of my cats doing it. Two of them mimic me, one doesn't. The one that doesn't mimic me is a huge daddies girl of a cat though. She always wants uppies. Also, also, it's why they do that cackle thing when they look out the window.
