Heart warming! Watching this video reminded me of an incident from childhood, where I'd successfully convinced my mom to get a caged parrot from the local petmarket and uncaged him before he took his first flight - fella would then come back after a few seconds, sit next to the windows to say thank you and wing off to freedom!

The "venomous snake" at the end of the video is actually a ball python. They are completely harmless, definitely not venomous, and one of the most common snakes kept as pets in the US.

During the summer in vancouver Canada we had next to zero rain for almost 3 months. Some days it was over 40c. Yes to some it doesn't seem to be that 🔥. But for the animals it was torture. One day i grabbed a white plastic wash tub. Put it outside on the grass with 2 gallons of water. You should have seen how many crows and animals were drinking. Even the mother raccoon with 4 babies in tow enjoyed an evening bath every day at midnight. Even the skunk was enjoying the cool water. One day i saw the raccoon outside and grabbed my garden hose and started spraying them with it. They must have been there for 15 minutes getting a good shower. Even to this day i still keep that bucket outside. The crows know where to come to get a drink of fresh water. Just a simple thought in action goes a long way when it comes to animals in need. I saved a dog who got his head caught on a fence once, we had to basically destroy the fence since there's no other way to set him free. There were a lot of people but everyone was panicking and nobody was able to do it. The poor dog was desperate and almost got his neck broken trying to release himself. Fortunately with some help from my friends we were able to cut the fence and set him free. It was a wonderful feeling, specially seeing the gratitude in his eyes.

Never found myself faced with any extreme rescues but probably the most unfun was a very large crow who had broken his wing and ended up in the parking lot near where I lived. Unlike some of these animals, he was never grateful, he fought me the whole way and the vet clinic was non-too-thrilled to see an angry crow but they took him in.

That weasel was not on the back of the woodpecker out of friendship. The weasel had attacked the the woodpecker from behind. The woodpecker attempted to fly off to get away from the weasel. The weasel initially clung on. Eventually the weasel got off. Apparently neither of them were injured.

My mom once had saved a baby bunny, the bunny was drowning in this muddy water hole, my mom quickly and safely grabbed it and gently wrapped it in a warm towel to let it dry, fed it, letting it rest and then she released it :)

Firefighter story: During wildfire in Texas FFs went to home where pit bull was tied up to doghouse in backyard mere feet from blazing brush. FFs released dog and proceeded to extinguish flames. Several of these clips are from a channel called Wildlife Aid. They rescue animals that end up in bad situations in the UK. Sometimes they’re quite funny, too, like when Simon admonishes a swan not to bully a newly released duck or goose, and the swan appears to hang its head in shame. I strongly recommend subscribing to them if you like animal rescue videos.

But it’s mostly only animals that have lived around humans for years, which allows them to know whether we are carnivorous or not. But animals in the wild who have never seen humans, will not know. And so they can’t tell wether your gonna kill them or not. And so no matter what you help a wild animal with. like saving it from mud pit, saving it from predator, etc. it will always run away and be afraid of you. Unless your consistent with helping it, like going out and feeding it everyday That’s also why you shouldn’t go and feed wild animals like deer, Bc over time they’ll think humans are nice and walk right up to a deer hunter thinking that their gonna get food, and instead they get a bullet to the head :)
