Kira fixing Koichi's incorrect sock is one of my favourite details about him as a character. It says so much about his personality without explicitly telling you what it is. He is a man that is completely dominated by his id. He doesn't try to resist the urges, he just lives with it and lives with pride, all the while hiding it from people just so they think he's 'normal' and he doesn't have to exert any extra effort into living his life outside his desires.

Damn you got everything wrong. He's totally resisting his urges by being a typical japanese salaryman, that's why he's obsessed with hygiene and takes everything seriously. He does everything he can to blend in society and to live a "normal" life with a normal job even tho he could become insanely rich with his stand if he played it smart If he didn't try to resist his urges, if he was living with "pride" he would literally be DIO. Still one of the greatest villain

people overrate jotaro too much in this part imo, He just gave him a standard beating he wasn’t going to kill him, He barely kills and thats a mistake, Kira survived and then did his plan as he was going to and ended up killing jotaro, I wish josuke did play a bigger role tho

I never noticed this, but the intro to Chase focusing in on Koichi in the group photo before zooming out to show everyone almost feels like a death flag by the op makers, maybe to misdirect people for when they get to this episode.

Actually it's about Shigechi, it shows him in the beginning then shows everyone else from a third person view. They still show Koichi in the entire opening so I don't think anyone got that impression.

What if Koichi died? That would've probably motivated Josuke, Okuyasu, and Jotaro more... Plus it fits in with the Jojo pattern, having Jobros dying (Zeppeli, Caesar, Kakyoin, Weather, Bucciarati, etc.)

I'm surprised no-one mentioned the eerie correlation to Kakyoin. Well.. I guess I'm not that surprised since I'm just now realizing. But yeah, I forgot just how brutal big head's abuse to Koichi was. It's all coming back to me now why I felt the way I felt regarding raggedy Kira (I just hate him, he's too wonderfully evil). I did not remember all this brutality, not to this degree😭😭 I ramble too much. Off to the new fam and soon temporary Rohan venture times🙌🥹!
