Hi I have a question. I noticed that when you choose stream or event for the music option and then hit replay when this animation is finished, the music replays again while the previous song is still running. It starts to sound pretty humorous after a few replays. What would be the smoothest way to solve this without having to stop the music between replays?

Good question. What we usually do is create script back on frame 1 that stops all sound and then have the audio start on frame 2. You can also have script on frame 1 that stops the audio file and then starts it again on the same frame. Or you can have the replay button stop all the sound and loop them back to frame 1, and frame 1 is when the audio plays. There are a few other workarounds but those should work for a basic project like the one shown in this tutorial.

Im working on a HTML5 canvas. The audio file doesnt add to the timeline at all. It comes into the library. I drag and drop it to the 1st frame of an exclusive layer called sounds. Nothing plays. No waveform even appears. The properties inspector shows only event. And the options to play stop etc are greyed out below the mp3 files name in properties.

Some body help me, I need to add sound to my video, I do the same, and when I ctrl+ enter, there are sound great, but when I am export it to video, then sound was disapeared :(. Seem like you used this Adobe animate, pls share with me why my video without sound, even when I tested with ctrl + Enter, it worked, but in file.mov or file.mp4, the sound disappear.

My audio only plays when I play the whole animation from the beginning. What’s going on, can I fix this?

Your audio starts playing on the first keyframe you have on the audio layer (where the orange wavelength starts). If you start your animation AFTER that frame it won't play. If you want your audio to start playing at a different time then make sure you move that first keyframe on the audio layer to the keyframe you want it to start on. If I am not understanding what you are trying to do give me some more details and I will see if I can help :)

@@supernovanetwork5145 Are you using ActionScript to jump it to a different frame? Like the minute the animation starts playing do you have it jump to frame 10 for example and play from there? If so, then start your audio on frame 10 by putting the audio layer's keyframe on frame 10. You'll see the wavelength line will then start from that point. There is an answer and there are actually a lot of them depending on what you are trying to do. The thing that is a little confusing to me is that you are starting at a frame other than frame 1...which implies you have the script jumping it to another frame? If that's not the case let me know. You can start and stop audio through ActionScript as well.

CHLOE LENEE test if it’s the project or program by opening a brand new document and trying to add it to the blank first layer. Also check and make sure that the layer is unlocked in your project file.

what if i dont wanna use buttons to stop and start my music, for example, i have a single frame for a begin like yours i have music play on that frame. At this point everything works. When i get to the next scene the previous music stops because i have a command on the button to stop it, but when i get to the new scene i want new music to play.

You have a command on the button to stop the music, stop the timeline, or stop both? If you have a command to stop the music just delete that. If you get to the new scene and you want a NEW audio file to play, then just add it to the first frame of the new scene. If you want the audio from the first scene to CONTINUE to play in the new scene I am not sure that is possible. When you use scenes they are like their own individual files in one larger one...and I don't believe the audio can crossover. You might look at actionscript to control that though - I would Google search it. Please feel free to clarify or ask more questions, I don't guarantee I will know all of the answers but I will try to help.

@@professorjedi lol i have a 1 frame scene just like yours with a start button, i have a song playing in that one frame, an entire song. When i click my start button it jumps to the next frame, the second music begins to play while the first song is still playing. The only way i have remedy this was by the stopall sound command, but that stops the next scenes sound from starting. @@Frazer213 A frame happens in a millisecond of time...have you thought about having the stop all sound on that frame you jump to, and then have the new sound start on the very next frame? You can also tie a "stop all sound" into your button that jumps to the scene. Or you can actually make a 2nd scene and that will automatically stop the first scene's sound. Let me know if none of those work.

@@professorjedi that sounds like it would work, but when i use Stop All Sound it stops even the sound that is going to play in future scenes for me. Currently i do have the sound on the second scene, and when i jump to the second scene from the first both sound still plays.

@@professorjedi I was able to finally find a nice Actionscript 3.0 tutorial so i was able to fix all my issues and remove my sound from my timeline. Thank you for your time :) i am running into an 1120 error that i dont understand if you got time to help me with that lol.

The best method is to use stream and when you are ready, change it to event and export. Your welcome.
