lmao this has nothing to do with the 2000s anime style, it's the 90s anime film/ova style. look up any Kawajiri/Madhouse anime film from that era and you'll see.

@@rrrrr0_ I do agree that 2000 is not the golden age of the 80/90 vibes, but I guess it stopped at the end of 90s, very early 2000s (with film like metropolis, some satoshi kon films still carried the techniques at that time) so maybe the remnants can confused a bit. I understood their message and what they were referring to even it's not the most accurate.

Despite being so short, this has impressed me more than any other animation I've recently seen. I've been messing around with trying to mimic the 80-90s anime look for a while now but I'm not remotely satisfied with anything I've done so far. One suggestion I'd make for future stuff is to move around the texture/noise you have on stuff with each frame of animation, with how fast this cuts it's almost unnoticeable and I only noticed because I went frame by frame to get a better look parts of this. Overall this is genuinely incredible. I hope there's a lot more of this to come and that it gets out to even more people.

With the use of technology (clip studio Paint mainly) , it is totally achievable to find the bits of atmosphere of those 80/90's anime! It was a bit of work but quite easy to apply which good news for me hhh
