His actions does not have to define what kind of character he is, he even straight up said to Velvet at the end of the movie “You asked me to change anyway which isn’t ok family or not”. Velvet did not care one bit if she was killing Floyd or not. Veneer cared but he didn’t seem to understand how to make his own choices having to rely on Velvet to make what seems to be the “best” decisions for them or else he most likely would’ve part with her and practiced as he mentioned to her but she brushed him off.
