You know, I hadn't thought about this before, but when I look at Prime's version of Laserbeak now...his design seems like it would've been more fitting for a Prime version of Ratbat rather than Laserbeak, as Laserbeak is a bird, and Ratbat is, well, a bat, and this design looks more bat-like.

I honestly would have loved to see a more bird like laserbeak in prime, but seeing as they removed soundwave’s cassette player ability, they still needed something that would fit in if he was attached to his chest. I still think it’s a cool design and makes the two of them look very connected! Would have been fun to see more of the mini cons and how they would have looked in prime.

In this story, the Decepticons all assume Danny is just a very strange human. So Laserbeak doesn't know that Danny can save himself. Danny lets him because he thinks Laserbeak's trying to protect him is sweet. But Danny still likes to cause mischief cause that's who he is XD
