itte has 3 meanings. it can either mean: 言って 【itte】"say it" 行って【itte】"go" 逝って 【itte】"pass away" for these three, i like to call them san-kai 三回 (three times). as if to say three times the phrase/word and meaning of "itte". and where i live, it sounds sm like the word "sangkay" which means "friend" in my dialect.

How interesting! In my first language we have a word that can both mean a combination of the complicated emotions that come within grieving the loss of someone and the anxious happiness that comes from longing to meet with someone you love again, i think it fits them nicely, the dualiy of feeling "saudade"
