you just made me realize how important is to be good at layout for both animations and backgrounds now I have to learn how to be a good layout artist before even moving to animations

Don’t limit yourself from learning one skill just because you haven’t mastered the other. You’ll never do anything perfect so just get into animating. You’ll be better after learning layout but still keep learning what you can.

Is it ok to show us the work of projects? How does the copywrite with sakuga works? Am I allowed to reveal my sakuga when show is done? I feel I should not. but I want some feedbacks
@ovn_tamil
@ovn_tamil 3 ай бұрын
You can request the production team for permission to showcase your work on social media. Studios are not that stringent to not let their animators showcase their work lol, they'll let you post it freely. But the episode you've worked on, should've been released already, otherwise you're just leaking the episode before it airs 💀. Many animators on twitter constantly do behind the scenes or their work showcase, which also basically acts like a free promotion for the anime, its beneficial for the studio too

How do you actually approach drawing using that template? I have noticed I usually keep drawing even outside the designated frame (like you do as well in the video), but then as a result it actually ends up looking slightly worse when you cut it in After Effects afterwards
@yavnrh
@yavnrh 4 ай бұрын
I think it's matching the original shot and the storyboard, too. Probably it was meant to be cropped like this (e.g. by the director). As for drawing outside the frame, this is basically necessary to draw a balanced character. Otherwise it's hard to see if the body has the correct proportions.

Hehe sorry 😅 You are probably doing it right already. If you feel like you are cutting too much, maybe draw a bit smaller to fit what you wanted inside the frame.
