This is awesome! As an animator myself, this is alot of work! A minute of animation could be about 1000 frams (depending on how smooth the animation is). I'm not this good as this guy of course but wow, appreciate the work and explanation!

I'm always doing a step more : I written the words (syllables) of the file audio in a note level aside, while scrubbing. So, it's easy to work with the file audio. It's a visual indication who allow me quick adjustements...

fantastic information that I could not find anywhere else on KZbin! Thank you so much It would be very cool if you could also make one on animating the eyes in anime, I always find that to be a bit tricky as well, especially the transitionings to more extreme eye poses

Am I the only one who hates Anime style lipsync? BTW you can 100% automate it in After Effects by making a 3-frame sequence and assigning the time remap to follow the amplitude of the audio; then use Posterize Time to slow it down to 2's or 3's. "Read my lips! Mow-wup-mow-wup-mow-wup!"
@dDoodle788 Жыл бұрын
Honestly, I actually kind of love it, a lot of the audience doesn't pay that much attention to the movement of the lips, unless it's a very important scene which is focused on a character's mouth; so isn't it kind of a waste of time to spend so much time on it when most people can't actually even perceive it half the time?

Quick question, how come when you show the work in Open Toons, everything looks pixelated, but the final shot you show looks like anti-aliasing is enabled?

@johnderat26522 жыл бұрын
it's very probable that at some point (if not already possible) there's gonna be an AI software which detects syllables in sentences and then matches those to certain images (in this case lip flaps, which are -> closed, semi, open)

Woah, this is pretty cool. Though I feel like it's so quite time inefficient and leaves lots of room for automation.
