Its always interesting seeing how a minute of animation takes all of this work which only last about a second. You make a whole 3D environment for a few seconds of the animation. I don't think I would be able to do any of this. Great job as always.

The environment was an interesting one since a lot of the objects in there were repeats, like the Bookcases and Vases. We could focus on making the limited pool of assets and arranging them in an interesting way for the compositions. The flat texturing also helped to keep things lightweight. I love that Mae looks like she's leaning on Bea. I've always loved those two together, How despite being two entirely different people, they still lean on each other because they are the only ones who truly understand what the other is going through. They keep each other standing through everything. Sometimes you just need someone who is there. Proximity Counts for a lot.

Haha, that was a Toon Boom effect I put on near the end! I think you can do similar things in After Effects, or even put your frames through Photoshop and use the 'mosaic' filter on them!

Whenever i feel kinda sad i come here and watch this video, It makes me feel a little bit better but it always leaves that feeling of melancholy and nostalgia, it reminds me of simpler times in my life. И с одной стороны, вроде бы и жаль, "Demon's Tower" и правда уделяют относительно мало внимания, а с другой стороны - эта сцена единения Мэй, Беа, Грега и Ангуса была классной. Gosh this is amazing, one of the things that makes me so hesitant to try and get deeper into animation digitally has mostly to do with the fact that to really make a good product you need quite a skill set, I know a bit about after effects, but toon boom, and blender are beyond me at the moment, plus I can't afford toon boom.

It's often good to collaborate with a small group to bring something together, that way you can overlap you skillsets and learn from one another. Toon Boom is pretty expensive, but you can try out animating like this in software like Krita (which is free).
