Back when the first cartoons where made they had to hand draw every frame and that original of that clown is VERY IMPRESSIVE because it seems like a real person is dancing but with motion capture, but i think they traced pictures

The rotoscoping they did in this episode of Betty Boop was so far ahead of what any other animation studio was doing at the time, even Disney. Cab Calloway was filmed performing St James Infirmary and animators subsequently traced over the film to create the effect, and the sheer realism it added to the character was unseen at that time. Honestly still looks incredible today. Calloway's hand movements are especially distinct in this particular film.

Honestly I am quite a sucker for rotro scope in the animation industry, rotro scope is a technique used for capturing human movement by "tracing" commonly used back then by disney

It's more likely a reference to the Moves animated to "Minnie the Moocher" however, Cab Calloway's moves are absolutely Iconic. No matter the medium.

OK so, Koko the Clown in the original Betty Boop cartoon was rotoscoped from Cab Calloway. While this shows him dancing while performing "St. James Infirmary", this EXACT same recording was used in another Betty Boop cartoon, with Cab performing his most iconic song, "Minnie the Moocher". If you play both side by side you can very clearly see it's the exact same dance performance rotoscoped in both, with two different vocal performances used for each cartoon. While it is most likely that the Cuphead team was mainly paying tribute to the clip in the video, the little scat performance as King Dice walks in is pulling from Minnie the Moocher. In fact, Cab got the nickname "the Hi-Dee-Ho" from this song, as the original says "hi-dee hi-dee hi-dee ho" instead of "hiro hiro hiro hiro"

Si lo vas a demeritar por algo así almenos busca la información real ,no es de betty boop el baile es de cab calloway ,siempre en la historia se sacaron referencias de pero en los cartoon se pidieron permisos y colaboración con este mismo ,ya que la vanda sonora de minni la prostituta fue un tema de calloway ,así que no obstante el baile es de calloway y se lo a visto en otros cortos de sus canciones, gracias !
