Animation Review: TMNT (2003)

TMNT 2003 has always been one of my favorite animated shows, as well as my favorite incarnation of the turtles. I love how true it was to the source material has well as its depth in character/ story development has well as its action and atmosphere. It seems nowadays its fallen into obscurity due to the recent tmnt series and its more 80's like vibe , but this show will always be the more definitive version of the tmnt imo

Awesome review man! I agree, this is in fact my favorite Ninja Turtle series, and it does a good job at being faithful to the comics that started it all! It has great plot lines, memorable characters, great animation, the battles were fun to watch, the humor was goofy, but still funny, I mean, it had the right idea!

I remember this reboot of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2003 and I really do like the character's design and personalites a lot better than the other reboots from 2013 and 2018. It's a shame they never made a proper complete series onto DVD with all the season1,2,3,4,5,6 and 7 because that would keep the memories of the series alive with the next generation of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles , I know they already made a few DVDs from 2003 which is disappointment sadly and I can only watch them on KZbin as long as the episodes are still there😔.

I love the first three or four seasons of this show. It's the best TMNT cartoon of the three in my opinion. It's a shame it went downhill in the end going to the future and cyberspace and the animation getting simplified so much. The animation was gorgeous in the first few seasons. It felt like they ran out of ideas by the time the characters are getting sent to the future and cyberspace etc. At that point they would have been better off incorporating elements of the old cartoon such as Slash, bebop and Rocksteady etc as new villains.

Seasons 1-5 was dope.Its not the animators or writers fault it went down hill.Parents (let's be real here,mostly moms,lol)were complaining to the network that the series was to dark and violent for kids.thats why they nixed season 5 and released it on DVD and on Demand.They came out with fast forward to make it more goofy and comedic instead if so serious.It sucked.

I cant agree with you on Season 5, I find the concept of Demon Shredder fascinating, it expands the Turtle's world by connecting everything together, the concept that Hamato Yoshi had to die so that he could be a spirit to protect the Turtles and Splinter from Demon Shredder is awesome. Also, you said Utrom Shredder and Demon Shredder have the same voice, this may be because Utrom Shredder made his robot's voice to be like Demon Shredder to make it seem more like the Demon Shredder as that was his goal from the beginning. Also the Heralds and the Ninja Tribunal and amazing characters in the season.

Fast Forward and BTTS are both dead to me. I like to pretend that they didn't happen. When FF aired I was 16 and I decided to stop watching cartoons for awhile. I guess you could say that was the official end to my childhood.

This is probably the greatest cartoon show ever made.I fluctuated alot between this and avatar legend of kora but now I give the hand to tmnt because I do not think I can count over the garden wall as a show. When I heard about the imminent release of the 2012 series I almost cried because I knew the 2003 series was gone for good.

GRIMLOCK07 yeah,i forgot about star wars the clone wars,it is so good it justifies the existance of the entire star wars prequel trilogy but the sad part is since the begining you already know the ending of the show.i have only seen one episode of young justice but i would preffer the comics.Steven Universe and adventure time have some realy heart wearming and epic episodes but the main story takes a back sit.Archer is realy good but is more a comedy show.

I liked season 5... but yeah the other acolytes are completely forgettable, I know the big guy is Adam, the girl is Joy... and that's as far as my knowledge of them goes, they're supposed to be powerful, but in the last episode they honestly come across as sidekicks that proved their worth, it's like sure, they have animal avatars, but the turtles can actually become theirs AND they're fucking DRAGONS.

I know this is an old video, but I don't care. The pupils were added to the character designs for back to the sewers to make them look more like the character designs for the movie that came out in 2007. And no these two movies are not in the same turtle verse as each other despite all the reasons why people may think so.

I LOVED the first four seasons. I felt like the fifth season was becoming boring, but then it ramped up again and I ended up LOVING that too! Fast Forward was ... less good ... but not bad. I haven't watched Back to the Sewer yet.

I really do wish they continued with season 8 it's interesting the war with the 3 shredders and Cyber space has always been interesting towards me especially the data and I love computer plots those are always interesting but it had the best ending tbh April and Casey married it was fun interesting and sad (as it was over)

I enjoy season 5 alot personally i don't see how the ninja aspect is an less relevant there then in other seasons. I think tengu shredder is awesome in his design and abilities, although i do agree the season should have been developed more.
