Leonardo 2003 I did know about Triceraton Shredder, Shredder Wars and Hun-Garbageman relations beforehand. Master Khan being confirmed as one of the Elite (potentially) could have been great backstory and brought depth to him and them. Also learning more about my favorite kunoichi is huge bonus content. I really much liked those episodes when Karai was the Lady Shredder.

I had a feeling that between Insane in the Membrane and Nightmares Recycled, there's no wonder why Fast Forward and Back to the Sewers were a little more kid friendly. Could basically say the same about Transformers Prime vs Robots in Disguise. They straight up almost killed a kid in that show.

It was indeed a dark franchise, despite coming from a silly idea and a couple of start up comic artist being silly at the time. And of course, also stemming from a parody of Frank Miller's run on Daredevil, but in a non-comedic way. Of course, once they had certain guest artists, they either went even darker or wacky comedy.

@@iancruz6617 I don't think a more faithful version of the cartoon show would have flied back in the 80's. It would still have to be toned down quite a ways. They need it to be kind of silly and sell a bunch of toys based on weird mutants to get the foot in the door. That's why it took for the first movie to get a fairly accurate version of the original comics. Not that 2003 was 100% accurate itself. Maybe the first couple seasons, but certainly not with Utrom Shredder or that whole thing about "Adlintians."

Dang. A triceraton Shredder? It truly shows how evil Utrom Shredder is and he will always come back for more. It could have been awesome if they actualy went with Fast Foward Season 2. I didn't find it terrible as well, but never liked the change of tone and animation that it once had from the previous seasons of the 2003 TMNT show. Also I really liked the dark turtles. One of my favorite episodes of Fast Forward was wih Dark Leo trying desperatly to figure out what and who he is.

There is nothing too dark about TMNT 2003. I mean, Shredder got decapitated in the first season, there was a Lovecraftian Monster episode and Tengu Shredder having in mind turning Karai into his *slave.* Nothing on Earth could be darker than those episodes (except Insane in the Membrane which terrified even adults). Also everytime Stockman got Shredded. Did I forgot to mention I, Monster which scared the life out of me?!! That episode was generally creepy af.

In reality, stockman would NEVER willingly work for the shredder, the first time it was business, but the other times got the the point where stockman is practically a prisoner, and every failure he’s had ended with him being stripped of his body piece by piece, and it was so fricken brutal that he not only was just a head, but at one point a fricken brain! I’m sure stockman would want to work with the turtles to finally put an end to stockman’s nightmare that of which, is the shredder.

You forgot that back then after Fast Forward they were trying to decide on some new gimmick. The ideas were TMNT Overload... but also potentially having the Turtles fight using magic cards ala Yu-Gi-Oh to cash in on that craze. They finally decided on Back to the Sewers and use the internet as their gimmick.

S5 of TMNT03 as a whole was cancelled due to the much darker themes that would be in the season one well known episode of the cancelled 5th season that you can only watch on KZbin or on DVD is the episode focusing on Baxter Stockman basically for those who haven't watched this episode buckle up and try not to puke as this episode goes into both David Cronenberg levels of body horror and mental horror so the premise of this episode is "spoiler alert" after a good while living as a sentient brain and eyeball in a jar Baxter uses his intelligence to create a new organic body for himself and it seemingly works including seemingly curing Baxter of his psychotic nature and ego, however Baxter's new body starts falling apart and I mean that literally as in his new body starts falling apart in horrific and disturbing detail, and his newly gained sanity starts slipping aways as he starts seeing hallucinations of his dead mother and these hallucinations get so bad that he kidnaps April believing her to be his mother and at the end it seems like Baxter is finally free from his nightmare when seemingly falls to his death only for the tragic final scene that reveals that Bishop saved Baxter's life and put him in a robot body with the closing shot of the episode being Baxter in Bishop's lab yelling in both sadness and terror "NOOOOO! Why won't you let me die?!" Thankfully Fast Foward allows Baxter peace and redemption.

I think I figured a way out for the Shredders to return and begin the Shredder Wars. -The Utrom Shredder: Probably the Shredder who has survived the most times when death seemed absolutely certain. During the final moments of Turtles Forever, Karai may have found a small piece of him that survived his obliteration; one of his horns, a tendril, an eye perhaps. Taking the piece back to one of the Foot Genetics labs in New York, Karai and Chapman utilize Utrom technology, along with the worms used to heal Ch'rell when he seemingly died in the explosion that destroyed the TCRI building, to regenerate Ch'rell into a whole body once more. This time, Karai intends to keep him imprisoned (though we all know how that tends to end) for the sake of his survival; with only her and Chapman knowing of his resurrection, the Utroms wouldn't take him away from her and he wouldn't risk dying in battle against the Turtles again. -The Tengu Shredder: The Tengu Shredder's helmet and gauntlet were seemingly destroyed when the Turtle-Dragons smashed them. But what if it turned out they were only severely damaged? Having been found by a random civilian who intends to use the damaged pieces (either for an modern art sculpture, or maybe selling it to a pawn shop for a few quick bucks) the dented and crushed pieces are reforged. Out of curiosity, the civilian tries on the armor, only for it to latch onto him. The civilian panics, desperately trying to get it off while a cold and sinister voice in his head tells him that he now belongs to the Shredder; mind, body and soul. In the Foot HQ, Karai screams in pain as the dark mystic energy she absorbed during their last battle flows out of her. The energy travels across the city to the civilians' shop, and is reabsorbed within the helmet and gauntlet, completely transforming the civilian into the Tengu Shredder. -The Cyber Shredder: The Cyber Shredder cheated death by re-downloading himself into cyberspace. What if he had the foresight to leave behind a duplicate cyber file within the Foot databanks as a back up, should anything happen to him upon re-entering the physical plane. This time, the Cyber Shredder would leave strict instructions for Khan to not resurrect him until the Turtles were gone for good; which is how we'd get Khan's belief in Tempus Fugit that he destroyed the Turtles. Khan leads a full assault on the Turtles' lair, where Donatello calls on Karai and her Foot for back up. (which is where we'd see her scream in pain as the mystic energy leaves her) Taking advantage of Karai's absence due to her weakened state, Ch'rell escapes from the lab and makes his way to a hidden spot in the city where he stashed away another exosuit and armor in case of emergency. Leaving the Turtles for dead and destroying their lair once again, Khan resurrects the Cyber Shredder into the real world once more. The Tengu Shredder learns between his loss in his last battle and now possessing a mortal host, he cannot call upon his full power and must rely on others to do his bidding. All three Shredders make their way to the Foot HQ to claim leadership over the Foot Clan. Surprised and angered at seeing the existence of two other Shredders besides himself, the Shredders declare a war that divides the Foot Clan into three factions; the Utrom Shredder with his loyal Foot ninja, the Tengu Shredder with Foot Ninja he used his powers to brainwash, and the Cyber Shredder with Khan's Foot ninja that went rogue after Karai took control of the Foot Clan.

I remember this reboot of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2003 and I really do like the character's design and personalites a lot better than the other reboots from 2013 and 2018. It's a shame they never made a proper complete series onto DVD with all the season1,2,3,4,5,6 and 7 because that would keep the memories of the series alive with the next generation of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles , I know they already made a few DVDs from 2003 which is disappointment sadly and I can only watch them on KZbin as long as the episodes are still there😔. I still don't understand why they call this the lost episodes I mean if this season part of TMNT 2003 then they should call it season 5 not the lost episodes. Plus this is an important bits like learning the true origin of Shredder and Karai's redemption.👍

Season Five is referred to as the lost episodes by the fans since for a time it was unknown if season five would air completely due the dark nature of the episode Nightmares Recycled. Hence why Fast Forward got aired first and the Ninja Tribunal story arc aka season five did not air until 2008.

I didn't care for Fast Forward too much (mainly due to some of the new characters and change of animation), but damn, season 2 sounds like it would have been pretty awesome. I especially liked the Triceraton Shredder and Dark Turtles episode ideas. The Shredder Wars idea seemed like it would have been neat, and the turtle tots season sounds like it would have been interesting, too, but I don't think it would have gone over very well with the fans because of how out there it may have been.

I didn't either until I thought of something. Fast Forward's entire world is based on one driving idea that the turtles eventually won. Bishop is reformed and builds a society where aliens and humans live together in peace, Cody openly confirms that the turtles are recognized as heroes, April and Casey eventually end up married. All of the turtles enemies are eventually defeated and we get a story where they can walk around freely in broad daylight, the Shredder and his entire legacy is also gone. The Turtles eventually win and Fast Forward let's them see just what their efforts yield and they yield great rewards that the turtles get to live in. Now after going back home even when at their lowest they know their efforts yield something they have a very bright future they are working towards. FF is easily the happiest chapter in the turtles life. The original animation was dark even during the day there was a sense of shadow the sun always seemed somewhat blocked like there was no dawn at all for the turtles and the tone matched it. The change in animation makes sense FF with it's much more optimistic tone doesn't fit the dark animation of the first 5 seasons.

Really hope that someday in the future, the rough cut of Master Fighter 2105 is released on DVD alongside all of Back To The Sewers. Would have enjoyed seeing both the Triceraton Shredder and Dark Turtles stories and The Devil and Dr. Stockman. Also, I am glad that both Hun and Darius Dun later appeared in the comic books, Hun in the Mirage comics prior to them going on hiatus and Darius in the IDW comics.

I wish they could have made episodes involving some villains that were never talk about no more in the series such as Rat King and the Necro Monster.

I even thought of an idea involving the return of the Necro Monster like I imagine that when he returns he will put everyone to sleep such as April and Casey and give them nightmares of there worst fear. The Ninja Turtles will team up with Agent Bishop and a Earth Protection Force member who is a Native American and it turns out he is the descendant of the Native American who was suppose to kill the Necro Monster that day. With there help the Ninja Turtles will battle the Necro Monster and Bishop will also remember C.F. Vopelhart because both of them came from the Colony Era except Vopelhard came way before Bishop was even born but I could imagine Bishop meeting him once and suspect something from him but didn't take action that day because he didn't have the Earth Protection Force in those times.

Season 6 & 7 are true shit, it would have been better if everything went back to normal after the Turtles saved the world in Season 5. Shredder’s return to Earth in Season 6 would be spectacular, with Karai being on the Turtles ’side.
