How do you get an objects state to return to it's original state after a track or clip has finished playing? EG: Suppost an object's natural position is 0,0,0 and the clip plays that moves it from 10,10,10 to 20,20,20.. When the clip end and the game keeps on running, how do you get it to revert to 0,0,0 without having to create another clip to manually reset every property back?

hey man i've created a complete entire cutscene using timeline but, after it ends, how can i trigger a scene changer? Like, I want the cutscene to end and then the scene to change.

You can use a signal track in your timeline to trigger a function in a script that loads the scene you want. Or you can do it in a different way, create an empty game object with a script that switches scenes in the "Start" method and disable the game object. Then it to your timeline as an activation track, activate the object at the end only, so when it enables it, it will switch the scene. If you want to override an existing animation, you can ad an override track under the animation track. There you can create a new animation.

Question: When I add the camera to the timeline, the characters is not visible in camera. In the scene view, if I rotate the scene cam, the character disappears and reappears. I put 0.1 in the near clipping plane and 1000 in the fa clipping plane. But the character is not visible. Weird thing is the environment is visible near and far.

My character is walking in one direction. I want to change its direction. How do I do it?

You can either create another animator track and animate its rotation. But if you're using root motion, you can simply cut the animation clip where you want it to rotate, select it and change its offset in the inspector panel and modify the Y rotation. Then you can slightly merge the two clips (after the cut) so you have a smooth transition. Good luck and let me know if it works.

You know how to make Character move on slope or staire ? when I use animation it go through stair and slope it not go up So I made script that control player move in timeline and make animation moving in place it still don't walk up stair or slope it just go through like there is nothing ignore collider and walk straight line no walk up

Maybe you can try using a character controller with the slope angle you want and enable root motion in the animator.

Waalaikumasalam, maybe the root motion is disabled on the Animator component of the character or the animation doesn’t have root motion. If you downloaded it from Mixamo, make sure to disable the “in place” option. I think that should solve it. Good luck!

Hi Omar some great ideas thanks for the up load, this is a bit more advanced but been looking for the solution to a problem i have override track with a mask on a time line animation kzbin.info/www/bejne/ombOfoGHhLF8r68 so the robot is on a timeline I’d like the animation to change with a trigger a mask, on /off... if for instance you were too close that would trigger waving you back with the free mask arm . This is easy to do in the animator with a parameter bool etc but how to in timeline ? Ive scoured the internet, any ideas? Best H
