Ok awesome tutorial, really useful, but WHY IS YOUR VOICE SO RELAXING!? You have one of the most unintentional ASMR voices ever, I'm relaxed and more knowledgeable, great video!

Nice! 🍻 This will be helpful in the future. I made some rocks that needed to break apart and fall but didn’t know about the signal emitter. So I made some rocks and a duplicate of the rocks with rigid bodies. Then I used the activation to turn off the first rocks and activate the rigidbody rocks when they needed to fall. Super complicated way of doing something that I could’ve just used signal for lol

That’s the best thing about game development and coding, there are unlimited ways of doing the same thing. It’s always interesting to see how others approach the very same thing. Thanks for sharing, all the best 🙏🏼

Hi Omar, I am enjoying the speed and simplicity of your tutorials. I have a question, Can signals be used to control "Noda Canvas" Dialogue Trees? Or vice versa, be able to place segments of the timeline with the dialogue as the player clicks through it?

I'm using signals to send a string to a speech bubble generator on the player, which includes a text parameter. But it seems I have to create a new signal object and wire it up every time the text changes.. that can't be right surely?

can you make a video on "how to interact with things (such as shoot, press a button to do something) while in a cutscene using signal track....
@obalfaqih Жыл бұрын
You mean like fighting a boss and you have to press certain keys in the cutscene/timeline?
@itsfun2990 Жыл бұрын
@@obalfaqih exatcly... the player should play the intended action in a ongoing cutscene only if the assigned key was pressed else he dies.. it is used in most of AAA games like RE. But i wonder if its achievable in unity....

Hi Omar, I'm trying to use signal emitter to activate gameObject. First I add a signal emitter on timeline marker, then I create a signal receiver which is automatically binded to timeline, and then I use my testSignal (bind to myGameObject) and choose my myGameObject's SetActive function. However, the myGameObject is not active after the signal. I wonder what did I do wrong?
@obalfaqih2 жыл бұрын
Hi there! It’s been a while since I used signals, but I’m not sure if signals would work on a deactivated GameObjects. Maybe you can make another active objects controls it, a parent perhaps. And remember to test it in Play mode since it won’t work in the Timeline. I hope that solves it
@user-vw9cv4ic1p2 жыл бұрын
@@obalfaqih Thx, looks like you can use signal emitter and timeline marker to enable gameObject, I test it in Play mode and it works.
