tbh imo it being the representation of chaos and it being a 3D object instead kinda makes it more interesting. Disorder vs. Order like you said. It also makes more sense, since if the was a 4D object how is it getting stunned by 3D objects if it can just go around it? Also notice how the plutonic solids at the end are colored each differently? I think its neat that Alan and his team also put in the detail of the plutonic solids.

It's interesting that in the final fight with the hyperdiamond, our golden boy and TSC used five types of polyhedron with colors, which indicated the symbolize of ancient Greek theory of Five elements. Also, they acting accordingly. Tetrahedron: Red, symbol of Fire. Stable, forever upright. Octahedron: Light blue, symbol of Wind. Weightless, undisturbable. Hexahedron (Cube): Green, symbol of Earth. Strong, immovable. Icosahedron: Blue, symbol of Water. Flowing, amorphous. Dodecahedron: Gold, symbol of Aether. Refined, eternal."

5:17 - So I had to look it up. Apparently, the first golden triangle that shows up is a 1-sqrt(3)-2 right inscribed triangle, where the circle that circumscribes it has a circumference of pi*phi on the bottom, meaning the diameter is phi as shown in the transformation at 5:19 - From the transformation and notation on the triangle here, we see the property Phi^2 = 1+Phi, and thus the ensuing "golden square" that appears is a square with an area of Phi and further at 7:15

The HyperDiamond Entity (HDE) could be a 4D shape but trapped in a 2D plane, as it's able to be contained by 3D, and never chooses to move on the Z axis. The That or the animation plane never has a Z-axis and our "eyes" of the screen are limited to 1D in 3D. If it's moving solely in the 2D plane with no higher dimensional/imperceptible/impossible/dimensionally-rotated movements then it's a 3D or even 2D object confined to 2/3D space but not actually moving in a 4D manner. (Or perhaps it is and we as 3D being are unable to read the complexity and possible harmony in 4D movements within a 2D space represented by 1D. It creates 3D octohedrons from itself so that kind of information geometry must be contained within it, though the physics of this animation system has density outside the shapes as they can hit and smash, and within the shapes the border cannot be crossed easily. The HDE is not baneful to symmetry, it goes in and out of symmetry, seemingly with its decisions. More of it's geometry is displayed duplicated which could allude to its multi-dimensional presence along the axis of eventual selves or a stretched present of time or a command of essential spatial existence. Its effective range and copies are less focused when enraged. In the "loss of control" it has upwards to 5 figures of its self in shadow. It is a lost creature that doesn't know how to get home so it is reverted to a nature where it consumes the 2D plane fruitlessly. The Sierpinski's carpet is what it sees and shows it to us underlaying the geometry shapes. Likely it has a completely different understanding of what they represent/comprise/describe/encircle, and even what they look like and how they are experienced. The HDE is lost, but it seeks connection. It appears when Phi opens its trusting self to the Animation Stickman, it has detected a trace of home, the harmony of the golden ratio. It seeks it ceaselessly for the duration of it's chaotic existence. The HDE wants to destroy the platonic solids because it knows it's not the phi level. As he acts completely on this urge and directive relentlessly, he challenges and baits them for more, for the next shape. The HDE isn't angry, it's saying "I know you've got perfection! Give it to me!" In such a pressing, uproarious, boosting manner When either a Platonic Solid or Phi ratio shape are created it flashes, it reveals light to describe its effective 2D fill/3D border If a Platonic solid is derivative within another (cube in icosahedron) it does not flash upon creation. When Golden ratio shapes coincide they are additive. When the Entity consumes the pentagram it reveals the fractalizing woven mandala effect that orders the local defined Phi reality. But the pentagram hammock is more resistant to consumption in its complexity. Dodecahedron as a higher order does not ascribe to these rules though. It does not flash light to describe its borders, and it does not have a golden 3D fill. It has an inner glow that seems to foreshadow, a purpose. Like the stickman who sought the Phi ratio since the beginning, it was given to him and his nature fulfilled. The stickmans nature is and always has been to play and interact with the operations and circumstance around it. So, Phi helps him to play within the circumstances. The HDE also relentlessly seeks Phi within it's circumstance, and is ultimately, through chaotic reaction to intense pursuit, is given over to resonant, focused, golden breath of controlled influence Dragonic Fractal branching, home in the multi- dimensional pocket portal that was brought But since the dodecahedron was able to match it and interface with it. In the small frame of 14:44, the Entity is focused perfectly into it's likely cube-within cube shape. It is not abberant, it's returning to it's familiar world form at home in it's perfect calm focused breathing state. Would love to hear your thoughts.

Some nifty stuff I notices on my second watch: _the passage from 0 dimensions (a point) to 1 dimension (a line) to 2 dimensions (the stickman) to 3 dimensions ( 21:52 the tetrahedron) and finally to 4 dimensions (the hypercube 23:48) at the end we go back to 0 dimensions (a point). _Throughout the video, when the antagonist (let's call it "disorder") destroys something, it shows fractals as cracks and leaves the sierpinski carpet behind. _ At 23:45 it shows something I don't understand very much but I think its a hypercube ( a 4D object) inside a non-Euclidian or 4th dimensional space, inside a 3D object, inside a 2D animation and then at 24:12 it closes back to 0 dimensions (the same point from the start). Now that was cool ngl. _ 05:46 that's a Golden triangle bisected in Robinson triangles (a golden triangle and a golden gnomon.) (I think) _ 15:14 whenever the golden ratio is shown in the triangle and square, the measurements change from numerical to Phi (which I though was a cool detail) That's the interesting stuff I caught so far. I might be wrong about some of it(I am not a mathematician I just have autism).

Yeah... It's actually a regular polychoron. The regular icositetrachoron, otherwise known as a 24-cell (it has 24 octahedral cells), or the "4D hyper-diamond" as they call it. Actually it only looks chaotic to us because it's doing double rotations and has a lot of edges, and even then it's silly enough to let mere surfaces (the Platonic polyhedra) trap it. I think the video could be a lot better than it was, an even started coming up with a lot of new ideas for a remake (already), but I guess it's still interesting. It's just disappointing that apart from the 4D cameos, they didn't explore any aspects of 4D geometry at all other than those double rotations. And it would've been cool if we had non-Euclidean manifolds too (In case you saw it, I mentioned it was the dual of a tesseract but nah it's a self-dual)

13:04 yeah or the projection of a 4D shape in rotation over a 2D screen, it doesn't need to shapeshift for it to appear shapeshifting, just has to rotate… The problem is when they trap it in platonic solids, if it had 4D it could simply have circled around the solid… (in the same way one can come out of a hoop without having to break it, you can't be trapped by something that fits in an euclidian space one dimension lower than yours)
@gooeysad2058

it actually phases through partially and you can see some fractals or effects bur is pushed back in because of the 3d symmetry of plutonic solids. Though it still gets out on the 1st 4 plutonic solids. Also you've made me realise that the hyper diamond (24 cell) fused with phi because the dodecahedron trapped it at when all points were in symmetry in a 3d plane unlike the icosahedron; cool.

6:26 Wow! When I watched it, I was only doing it for entertainment, but with a reaction video like yours, it made a shining lightbulb. My teacher said that all you need is to draw some squares and that confused us all 45 of my mates. Then this came out and it made sense why. 😮😮😮

Why couldn't we have watched videos like this in class on the old VHS monster sized tv cart at school back in the day? Not much of a math fan, but this is cool.

it has 24 (cell) intersective lines so its a 4d hyper diamond but looks close to a toroid (5d cube) thought they are just shadows of the actual shape cuz we cant imagine them on a 3d plane and so we see it as changing sizes or the cells position like in the vid.

I would like to clarify something for the The Chill Zone and all those commenting with the wrong impression. The man's name was Plato. They are the Platonic solids, NOT the "Plutonic" solids. I want people to understand this.

I have been saying sonce middle school that Math is the secretbto unlocking the magic of the universe. Every form of any piece of technology or advancement was made on the back of understanding the secret code of math hidden in the program of the universe. Math = Magic Mathematicians = Mages I'm OBSESSED with physics and calculus, too, and I ended up using math as the basis of my realm's magic system, with each of number 0-9 representing an element, and it only further doubled down this idea. Seeing these animations hypes me up so much. Thank you for the breakdown! Some of this caught me off because I do not yet have a full grasp of the history of mathematics, so hearing you talk in detail brought it full circle for me (pun unintended)

13:10 Actually, that is a hyperdiamond (or 24-cell), a regular 4-dimensional shape made out of 24 octahedral cells. Note it shoots octahedri during the fight, and at the end, it appears again alongside the tesseract, the hexadecachoron and the 600-cell.

I think this was probably the weakest of the 3 'science based' animations, animation vs math and especially animation vs physics got very advanced, but here there was so much more to talk about, like higher dimentions and fractals and non-euclidean geometry. I feel like there's just a lot of missed opportunity here.
