TECHNIALLY, most printed money is from fabric. Which is made from the byproducts of cotton process and even cloth scraps in textile production. While a lot of countries went from the concept of "Paper Money" to a more plastic bill. The US (the one I know well...because I am from the States), has not made the change. Even though they threatened to do so. The US Dollar is made from recycled cotton and old bills. So as much as the dollars are Green. They are green by the manufacturing process. Far greener than people realize. I mean plastic bills maybe durable and harder to counterfeit. But the meants to make one requires either a process of using crude oil or taking certain grains to produce the plastic. Well, being how much there are governments wanting to reduce the use of crude oil, in turn the increase of plastics but also governments that are trying to stop farmers from farming. Which means, those grain based plastics go up in price. Then, there is the whole digital currency but that is a whole other topic. And it can be defeated by just destroying the ability to make electricity....also easier to steal a bitcoin than it is a dollar bill. Just saying.
