SO I just want to address something here that I feel like I didn't convey and edit properly in the video. It's NOT that I don't think Clervie is nice. Of course she is. For all we know she could have ran herself through on Peruere's blade (wish I said that in the vid). I just think that how the "Mother" delivered the line about pruning the wilted flowers goes deeper than just an insult to Clervie and the ones who had fallen, but said mostly to get under Peruere's skin and REALLY trying to break her in that moment considering how fragile her mental state had to have been at the time. I mean, "Mother" knew that Peruere showed up for a fight, so mind games ensued. That is all! In the end, "Mother" got what was coming. :)

I see two perspectives for that phrase, the first one as you say about Clervie, but I think it also applies for Peruere as her curse spreads, maybe Crucabena thinks it'll kill her so what was the point of her winning...

Also, it may actually be the "Mother" who killed Clervie. We can see that Arlecchino still has her sword, and the sword on Clervie's grave (with the orange) has no blood (so it's likely Clervie's, since Arlecchino STILL has her sword). Plus, some people say that the sword that stabbed Clervie looks like the elemental swords the "Mother" conjures. So, with the "Mother" saying that she should've "pruned" the flower symbolizing Clervie, we can inference that she killed her own biological daughter... Truly an insane lady.

Btw there's a small detail just in case anyone didn't know, Arlecchino's friend, Clervie , was the "Mother"'s biological daughter, who was mistreated/abused by her for being too weak. That's why Arlecchino asks "Do mothers usually argue with their daughters?" In CN the mother daughter argument line specifically uses "birth mother", so Clervie was the previous Knave's actual daughter. So "Mother" mentioning "pruning" the Lumidouce Bell before it withered is symbolically worse than initially thought.

Atleast most of the theory or observations made from the trailer were right and that's enough for a lore player like myself.

Nah, ufotable is still busy milking Demon Slayer for as long as it prints them loads of money. Once they finally finish everything with Demon Slayer, they can focus on the Genshin project. With that being said, I think a waiting time of 2-4 years might be reasonable to believe until we get any more concrete development.

Great analysis! About the flowers at the end, I took that the Lumidouce Bell represented Clervie, since she wears a necklace of that flower; and the little white flowers represented the rest of the children, since the bunnies shown at the beginning were jumping from those kind of flowers. Arlecchino basically remembered the children and why she was fighting for in that scene, with a hint of sorrow in her eyes.

I highly recommend you also watch Arlecchino's teaser and demo to see all sides of her personality! ;) It's theorised that the orphaned child is the same character that reappears again in her teaser. Arlecchino has so many layers as a complex, morally grey/ambiguous character. I lost my gacha pulls twice pulling for her and her signature weapon :') worth it for Father!

Really loved seeing you analyze this, there's just so much in here that's condensed in something that feels like a one minute video, I've been thinking of stuff about it since it released and I do have my own version of events that don't completely match yours, but that would require me to go into spoilers for the game. But overall a great freakin animation, I do wish they do this more often in the future, It didn't really look like the ufotable style so It might've been a different studio working on it seperate from the one that's working on the anime but it's just so beautiful either way. Other's have already mentioned that the music is available already in the official hoyomix channel, a very emotional and well made song. Looking forward to her demo to find out more about her, and my excitement for the story quest couldn't be higher, because it definitely seems like the knave is trying to relinquish her position as the father to the siblings. My favorite candy bar? Probably twix, though I haven't really eaten one in years...

27:00 Nice catch there Roschi, I also think this creepy "bunny bat angel thing" could be representing the Doctor (Dottore), since he looks a little taller than the other and looks like it's made of segments of different animals, which makes me theorize that maybe Peruere's curse could be related to some of his experiments (It wouldn't be the first time this dude experimented with curses on children).

I love how the contrast between "Mother" and Peruere goes as far as their fighting styles. One is precise and elegant prefering to avoid or deflect attacks while the other throws herself behind every wide swings, aiming to directly overpower her opponent. Contempt vs Anger

The "Mother's" name is Crucabena a Gallic equivalent of the Welsh enchantress Ceridwen 11:24 Im pretty sure she offed herself the shot is kind of a common way to depict that in anime and manga without fully showing it, and we dont see her hands so she is likely holding the sword hilt. Clervie (pink hair) is Crucabena's biological child.

There is some supporting speculation about this, but that would mean some spoiler details as well because it includes Khanria and Fontain. Hoyoverse and Ufotable really just needs to hurry up with their anime. There hasn't been any news ever since their announcement and it's been driving me nuts lol. I too also like crunch bars, along with Krackle or whatever that candy is called that comes in the pack with many other chocolates. Do you think the flower could potentially represent Clervie instead of Arlecchino? Arlecchino smiled when she saw the wilted flower, and gained resolve to finish off Mother. Mother could also be just saying that Clervie was the problem and she should've gotten rid of Clervie earlier so Arlecchino could become a better King. I like to think that she gave herself the title of Father as a way to rebel against the previous leader of the House of the Hearth. The complete opposite. The previous mother acted caring and loving, but really shes just doing it all to make the king. But Arlecchino became Father who's strict and unfeeling, but really deep down she cares a lot for all of her children in the hearth. You can see how much she cares in her teaser, and this extends also to Lyney, Lynette, and Freminet. I'm still somewhat unsure what the title of King really means, but I suppose we're going to find out in Arlecchino's story quest. I want to say the kid at the end has to be someone else. Lyney would've been with Lynette, and Freminet has very bright blue eyes. Regardless, the kid probably isn't important to the plot. I'd love to learn more about her curse as well. We've seen it in a couple/few places...but it really still is very unclear what her condition is. Anyway, loved your analysis. Hope to see more genshin content from you soon! :)

Peruere, as a result of trauma from the "Mother", who put on a warm, loving face while secretly not caring for her children, seems to have become the polar opposite: a "Father" who puts on a cold, uncaring face while secretly deeply loving her children.

1- Clervie was "mother's" biological daughter, hence why she was talking about pruning, talking like it would have been better to end her myself rather than seeing her grow and die at someone else's hands. 2- Your idea about her calling "unfeeling and strict" is most probably spot on, when the time comes for one of the children to end her life OR if they hate her, they will hate a cruel and emotionless parent rather than being betrayed by a cruel parent with a benevolent facade. 3- The kid at the end could be any of the random NPC in house of the hearth, he is not either of those siblings. Freminet was already at the house during previous mothers rule, so he already gets a pass. Lyney finds arlecchino in the mansion of a wealthy magnate as she saves Lynette, so the setting for their encounter doesn't match either. and yes, yea eyes are different as well lol

Somebody in the comments of another reaction pointed out that Peruere didn't even kill Clervie, Clervie killed herself so Peruere didn't have to, hence no blood being on Peruere's sword afterward. So her "mother", the previous Knave is the only one she killed.

I did notice AFTER I uploaded this that Peruere is holding her own blade in the reflection after Clervie collapses. What my brain was doing instead was noticing how it starts to rain in that scene, to show that Peruere had start to cry, and then how it immediately stops in the next, and everything is just torn apart and still. Symbolic for her mental state and all that jazz. :)
