you should begin with a board of ideas. write down aything that comes to mind like chracters, powers, plots, short stories etc. then start typing up a story. use ur board of ideas to make the plot and characters. research animes and use it to influence ur plot twists and characters. i make rough sketch comics for fun and the way i start off is by drawing a fight scene. then it leads to- why are they fighting? whos the bad guy? what is their relation? will they die? etc. rewatch anime,movies,comics for the sake of learning story making NOT for fun.
