Putting them on the list isn't a problem, the only issue here is that Sieghart and Jellal are the most popular, but not necessarily the most similar. That probably goes to Erza Scarlet and Elsie Crimson, whose names make it VERY clear was absolutely intentional.

This makes me flash back to 9th grade art class where i had a teacher teach me how broken character design was in anime by asking me to do one simple thing- draw them bald and see if you can tell the difference. This also taught me that a character needs to be more than cool hair and pretty eyes to work.

Well, one manga-ka who seems to have been able to break the habit of using "broken character design" is Gosho Aoyama, who created Detective Conan. Over the decades he's been working on his series, he's literally created HUNDREDS, or more like thousands of characters. The throwaway characters who appear just for a single murder mystery case are one thing, but the recurring characters are what counts, and yet almost all of them have unique enough features that you never get confused in identifying one character from another. In one instance, there are twin brothers who each work as police lieutenants in different prefectures, but they have very different hairstyles and personalities, so there's no mixing the two of them up. Even when there has been a case of two women who appeared similar to each other, it featured in the story to have some meaning for it that ultimately lead to a happy resolution for two characters that found love. I've also noticed that Aoyama's character designs are different enough that you rarely see any of his characters in an anime list like this one, where another creator's characters look just like a character from Detective Conan, not counting when another series has paid tribute to DC by putting a lookalike character in their series that purposely looks like Conan as a tribute to Aoyama's long-running series.

Fun Fact Gildarts from Fairy Tail has dirty yellowish blonde hair in the manga however due to some complications during the production of the Anime they accidentally coloured it brownish red later Hiro Mashima allowed it and thus we have that colour, and the One Piece fanboys kept yapping that Fairy Tail copied One Piece despite it being just a production issue
