What's got me about her content/ life during this transition is that she seems to be doing exactly what she says anime does to people in this article, that anime is used to dissociate the self and drown out the persons ego. But she seems to be doing exactly that without anime, she really doesn't talk about herself anymore to a real degree, like in the article she doesn't actually mention what she was looking for in anime or what triggered the change in view. Just that it happened. Even in the video content she puts emphasis on the others of Ygg and not her, trying to disassociate herself from the 'branding' of the channel. She seems to talk about herself now but not her actual thoughts, just the beginning and end cutting out the middle.

I've stopped watching anime because I fell deep into the trap for a bit, like sampling every episode every season kind of deep, and than I took a step back and realized how fucked up this consumerist trash was. What does anime promote? Mostly the sexualization of minors, but mostly, underage girls. Watching Digi's downfall only solidified this. The only dissociation Digi felt was having her brain rot from anime and pseudo post modernist/moral relativist sentiments. No thanks, never again.
