i want a "one piece" RPG in the style of "kingdom hearts" i think it could work SO WELL. make it about a new pirate crew, you create your own devil fruit user, and learn how to use your powers, before you set off on your journey. you could design your own ship, travel to anyplace, via kind of "gummi ship" style mini game, (when you get a navigator, they could allow you to get to places more directly, or possibly even allow fast travel) and build your pirate crew up as you see fit from the various people you meet......i think it would be really damn cool....ESPECIALLY if it had some MMO elements...you could even throw some "survival" and "relationship" mechanics into the ship segments, use your ship as a base, to talk with your crew, and build relationships with them, but also the way you build your ship determines how much storage space you have, and that determines what supplies you can take with you, which determines the journeys you can take, but also how the crew interacts with each other and you either because you made them bunk with someone else, or near someone they don't really like, or you forgot to get their favorite drink when in port, things like that....

I'm surprised other anime haven't released their own FighterZ style games yet
@shawnfields23692 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I know, right? Like a Fairy Tail style FighterZ style game? Or maybe a .hack//G.U FighterZ style game? Based on the anime that we never got? I mean, we never got the .hack// fighting game... because Japan didn't love us enough, and just never released it here, because apparently, only 3 or 4 people enjoyed .hack//G.U(myself included), and like maybe, 2 other people, hopefully including Yuriofwind too? I mean; G.U had Yuri Lownethal as Haseo, Johnny Bosch(my all time favorite VA), Daran Norris(the voice of Timmy's Dad and Cosmo from the Fairly OddParents, back when it was a good show), and also, he was Eddie Brock/Venom in the 2000's Spider-Man PS1/N64 game, and was Piros The Third, in the original .hack// trilogy, and returns as Piros in G.U, who's one of the best characters ever. But also, we could use a Yu-Yu Hakusho or One Piece style FighterZ game, because there haven't been enough Yu-Yu Hakusho games, and if ANY anime game NEEDS a FighterZ style game, its Yu-Yu Hakusho, and One Piece, maybe Cowboy Bebop? Or Ruroni Kenshin? Even though it's mainly about an ex-samurai trying not to fight, but keeps getting dragged into fights. Also, maybe Trigun? Or Bleach? Also, I'm going to stop now before I end up running this into the ground, but not before I suggest that Naruto Shippuden, or Boruto Shinobi Strikers get their own FighterZ styled games. Because Jump Force wasn't that bad, but it was buggy, and glitchy, and kept crashing randomly, and wasn't as good as I was hoping, but it was cool, getting to see Goku, Luffy, and Naruto all get to be on one team, fighting against Yusuke Urameshi, Ichigo Kurosaki, and Deku, just for fun. Thanks again for the great video, Yuriofwind, and I'm glad to be a subscriber for the last few years.

My dream anime game is JoJo Part 4 done in the style of Yakuza or Persona 4. It's such a good town story that it really needs to be something that lets you explore and live a little in Morioh.

Yes! I'd play the hell out of that! I'd love if the next JoJo Pt4 game is some kind of crossover between Yakuza, JoJo, AND Persona 4, TOGETHER, all as one, working together!!! And then, at the end, the cast of DBZ(or Super, doesn't matter, either one works), show up and challenge you to a fight, and later, like Dante from SMT Nocturne, Goku, Gohan, and Vegeta all show up and help you because it's really awesome to help and thank people, like Yuriofwind, for example. Xenoverse 3 won't happen until they decide to either add stuff from the DBS manga that hasn't been animated or add stuff from the original Dragon Ball, the problem with the second option is that I feel like the game would need to work kinda like DBO where you start as a child and then become an adult for it to make sense, since Dragon Ball is more different than Z or Super. That's one of the reasons I like Budokai Tenkaichi 3 so much, it makes use of all of the Dragon Ball media released at the time. Oh but you know once that new movie comes out they're going to milk it in all of their Dragon Ball games.
@Yuriofwind2 жыл бұрын
Oh they'll have to add stuff from Super, I don't think the game is a matter of if though, just time, they just need another arc maybe, some more characters and costume bits they can sell you, make the movies into DLC's, card game for some reason, whole nine yards :3
@TheMrCtoer2 жыл бұрын
@@Yuriofwind I feel like there must be some kind of rule where they aren't allowed to add stuff that hasn't been animated, not even their gacha games seem to be able to add stuff from the Moro arc, that feels like the only reason that hasn't happened.

@@TheMrCtoer I feel like there's probably a lot of insane rules set in place that don't make sense, I remember reading something about the 4th Naruto Ultimate Storm one, the one that had the ending for the anime before the anime did it, couldn't be fully animated by Cyberconnect for some reason, and it certainly couldn't have been because they couldn't do it, cause they make gorgeous cutscenes like their going out of style :3.

There's also some really weird thing related to dubbing and translations, as big as Dragon Ball is in latin america, there is not a single Dragon Ball game with a full translation into latin american spanish, usually just text but no voice acting, yet I think the Saint Seiya game that you mention in the video had one, Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 was also dubbed into spanish, which is even more strange since I believe at that point the anime wasn't getting dubbed here.

I got into anime a bit later compared to some others, when I was 13 my friend got me into bleach. one day he brought over a bleach fighting game for the wii and my mind was blown, the thought that a game like this could even exist had never occurred to me before and I loved it. I recently picked up shattered blade out of a sort of nostalgia and wow was it awful. It's amazing how much we put up with as kids because it was simply all we had. I never realised how basic of a fighting game it was, I was just happy to see my favorite characters moving around at more than 1 frame per 5 seconds also thinking on it, I guess I fell for that again with jump force, got really pumped up for that, and picked it up and played on release with my friends... we ended up just playing smash like an hour later cause damn that game was boring

On the bit about the Attack on Titans games I think I have a problem. Like the first one was fine and everything, though not optimal as I played it on the PS3, and I got a lot out of it. As far as Attack on Titan 2, which I bought on the Switch because it was on sale and I don't have anything better than my Switch currently which is probably sad for me, I'm completely absorbed. The whole idea of having your created character added to the story and making the journal important to some degree to really connect them to everything. My problem is I think I've put like 50 or 60 hours into it at this point and I still have days I get completely sucked into the idea of completing it so I'll play another 3 hours at a time. Basically the only games I care about completing are the ones I genuinely seem to love or just have ridiculous amounts of fun with it. I concur. Great game.

I think one of the biggest factors holding back anime games is being too reliant on the anime itself carrying the game. It's like "oh if we slap One Punch Man on this game it'll sell like gangbusters" and that mindset just holds the genre back so much and in so many cases they do the bare minimum to try to make a profit. I'd love to see some studio/company give their 100% to make an anime game great in all aspects to show that this can be a genre where all the big name companies can look at and say "Wow this is really booming! Maybe we should get involved and try to make our own shit but BETTER". One can only hope that this gets better with time as I know there are LOADS of both new and old anime I'd love to see some great efforts made to turn them into games.
@Yuriofwind2 жыл бұрын
Sad part is, that's always the mindset for everything, even popular things. They want to sell games based on their name alone, which is fine, if the actual game itself is good to go along with it, it's just not most of the time, and for the games that get it right like Kill La Kill, your thanks is to be forgotten cause the show is over :'3

Let's see how I could share my own opinions cause, anime games sometimes always get the wrong genre for its play when you watch a series. And I'm probably sure it would be alot...😬 Fighting/arena: DBZ fighter is perfect cause it as now brought back a MVC2 style. So its a small bummer many haven't. But I'm glad JOJOs is coming back and I'll actually play, if I can pre-order. I have IF and Force, but sometimes I want small areas for the fights, a bit like tekken and then maybe arena fighters get a bit better. RPG: of course so many work best if it could, but then again, can they make it similar to its actually story, or something. Maybe I'm just odd, can't remember if One Piece had an RPG, that red world, or somethin... Warriors/Mosou: my favorite style cause, like arcades just have much staying at one place and not lose alot of quarters. Helps even get many into a series and enjoy, and I think... Arslan where a mechanic was brought in or something? And for titan, I'm liking it, just gotta wait til the full series is done for the full game to be out. Still got OPPW3, not sure if I go to 4 As to SAO: I've got all except... one I think, and on mixed, ie switch and ps4, and I even bought SAO x Accel World. 8:45 Saint seiya actually has tons of games Eith the sanctuary focused one on the ps2 actually having a full on remake of the anime opening in the game engine and having very good presentation for the story. Every subsequent one, however, felt lower and lower budget, with crappier presentation. Much like the anime itself with the hades arc.

Was just playing Dragon Ball Raging Blast 2 yesterday! Best dragon ball game for me
@shawnfields23692 жыл бұрын
Cool. But, FighterZ is the best Dragon Ball game, for me anyways. But RB2, is still awesome. And Xenoverse 2 can be decent at times, and just right at ok expectations during others, and Kakarot, is the best looking DB game I've ever played so far, tying with Budokai 3, Raging Blast 2(which was my personal favorite DB game until FighterZ came along), and...FighterZ, because I keep mentioning it, every other second, because it's so amazing, on everything, it's like so clean looking, and shiny, it's like how do you keep doing it? Also, another great video from Yuriofwind.

I love when people try to get all the info on an anime story from the game when usually the game skips things adds bs and changes stuff around while censoring and abridging it for a lower rating...you miss so many character moments and themes usually when you just speed-up a shounen action series in a game

I never understood why they do the picture and dialogue for anime games still. Considering they have the anime on hand. Just add it in if you don’t want to render graphics

I guess, it was the case for Scarlet Nexus, the way it’s presented just didn’t make any sense. Solid gameplay but the story was confusing.
@YuriofwindGameplay2 жыл бұрын
@@punkinjack8925 I'm on the wrong account, but found Scarlet Nexus to be pretty interesting in terms of presentation, it sadly wasn't full on gorgeous cutscenes constantly, but I feel like they mixed different styles well, like headshots, mixed with shots of the scene, a transition into a regular cutscene and back to talking heads, which if nothing else is more dynamic than talking png's.

"SAO games aren't hurting anyone but .hack" Hurting .hack hurts all of us I'll die on the hill that besides the Naruto game hype, I will play JStars until I die. Because its the only game that lets me fly through the sky on Tsuna's X-Burner Air. Shonen jump missing out of the open world craz. Horrible open world game where you visit a mash of different locations from Shonen, upgrade your equipment, and choose different power systems to explore. Different titles you can needlessly collect. Buying a house in in all your favorite locations. I was side quests that let me become 11th Vongola boss, Hokage, and an S-rank guild wizard, and neglect all those duties. It would be a terrible game, but also a Legend. Honestly I just want to fly through the world on an X-Burner Air.
@pokedude9002 жыл бұрын
I strongly disagree on Kill la Kill. While it's true that it got the look and feel of the show down, the gameplay was bare-bones and pretty unbalanced. BTW, the devs of that game also made Little Witch Academia: Chamber of Time. That one actually was quite unique. It told an original story that was canon to the anime, and had an interesting blend of side-scrolling beat-em-up and adventure gameplay. Unfortunately both sides of the gameplay are poorly designed. I wanted to like it so much, but it is truly the worst anime game I've ever finished.

Gundam has only become a factor outside of Japan(after the disaster of Crossfire) as of a few years ago with Gundam VS, there's also the port of Maxi Boost, that Gatcha game, and the game based on the Gatcha game with an SD game coming later this year, but currently nothing really substantial that I felt would add to this video. Now if we're talking in general, old and new, localized and not, plenty to talk about, if we're not, well there's New Gundam Breaker and that was shit.

@@YuriofwindGameplay Quick correction, meant to say SRW (super robot wars) but sausage fingers f-ed up typing on phone screen. and I am talking about the strategy SD gundam games (the G generation ones) and other strategy anime games in general. Talking in general too, not officialy localized stuff only (cuz there is a LOT of fan translated stuff for both SRW and gundam specifically) besides, gundam did get tons of games before crossfire; The ps2 had an entire series of sorts that covered original UC stuff (but not ZZ, never ZZ). If we go for stuff that never got addapted we even get some amazing shit like the Ghiren's Greed games.

I'd kill for more turn based rpg a with pixel art. But I uess that is too niche? :(
@Yuriofwind2 жыл бұрын
I think it would have to really fit the look of the show if they wanted to do that. Pixel art looks great, but the average person will take one look and assume it looks bad, so if it doesn't already fit the look it could be a risk, at this point I'd settle for just an rpg of any kind, escaping the endless fighter hell :3
