honestly I finished it today, was also not all too familiar with the anime but this show is easily one of the best tv productions I have ever seen guys not even gonna lie to you. And as far as Netflix goes I'd even go as far as saying this might even be better than Stranger Things (for me at least). Fantastic in pretty much all aspects 10/10 for me👏🏻🔥

@@Kevin.Costner. yeah, it's not perfect and there are changes but it shows a lot of respect to Oda and stays loyal mostly. The changes also make sense and are charming and work for the long run since season 1 is a pitch and needs to be a success to get a s2 and in those terms it really did a great job with the 8 episodes they had to work with and the casting of not just the straw hats but a lot of support characters were great. Some are not as good as the character but are charming at least and others either are perfect a few even better. They really come to life. Western live actions are usually a 3/10 at best but this was a solid 7.5 or 8/10 at the very least and even better if it really hit for you. They can only do better from here considering arcs just keep getting better and the likes of Alabasta and Skypia to Water seven will really suit live action format even more than the east blue.

For the scene where Zoro kills Mr. 7. It is actually canon in the main story it just happened off-screen. In the much later alabasta arc, Zoro mentions how Baroque Works attempted to hire him but he rejected it because they said he couldn't be the boss. The author Oda also drew a little sketch of Mr. 7 for a fan in the mangas fan question section.

They do show luffy giving himself the scar in the anime However it's is done in a way later episode due to the fact of American Censorship. at the time that the original episode air.

@@fakepain4145 Kuro was as good as he could have been but as a manga reader the Syrup Village arc is just less interesting than the Orange Town (buggy) or Baratie (sanji) arcs. Usopp had a lot more going on in the manga and it still felt drawn out and unnecessary. Having a clever planner with crazy powers could have worked if he used those crazy powers to enact his plans better but even in the Live Action it felt like kuro was fucking around most of the time

It's called 'Manga', not a Comic. I know people don't really care whether you call it manga or comic but it'd be nice if you show some respect to other Cultures. The Japanese call it manga for a reason. There are many differences between a comic and a manga

Rurouni kenshin isn't that much different from other samurai show that already existed. I'd say OP broke the curse of live action.

I like Kenshin and it is really good. But it is only normal samurai sword fight with quick step movement.
