Big Three consists of Naruto, One Piece and Bleach. Dragon Ball is considered the Grandfather since it basically began setting the shonen trend, though it also has its own trio alongside Yu Yu Hakusho and Sailor Moon. There will never really be another Big Three simply due to the impact these series have left on the shonen world, though a lot of people tend to claim there's a new one whenever some new shonen pops off for like a season.

I don't know who has watched more anime between me and Aaron. I'm pretty sure I've watched more than 100 anime. I was watching nothing but Anime shows and Horror movies for 5 years from 2009 to 2014. I think I started watching anime in the early 90s though. I was able to name a lot of them, but I forgot some like Death Note because I have seen it in about 10 to 20 years. Dragonball Z, Naruto and Bleach were the Big 3 for me. I put off watching One Piece because I thought the artwork looked goofy. Once I finally watched it I was kicking myself for not doing it sooner. After that my Big 3 became One Piece, Naruto and Bleach. I still love watching DBZ, but I love anime the focus on friendship and the willingness to put your life on the line for them. I felt that in the other shows more than DBZ. DBZ just felt more about fighting and getting stronger for the next enemy. DBZ only hit me in the feels when Frieza got Killian on Namek and Goku went Super Sayian the first time and when Vegeta sacrificed himself trying to kill Majin Buu. One Piece, Naruto and Bleach virtually hit me in the feels almost every episode. I like to care about the characters in the anime when I watch it. Enjoyed the reaction 👍👍✌ out.

Big 3 is One Piece, Naruto and Bleach they were dubbed that by the Magazine Shonen Jump after being the top 3 selling Manga from 2007 to 2012, 2013 world wide but within Japan GinTama out sold Bleach in 2012. Big 3 fell apart afterwards and One Piece is the only one that sold like crazy since. All the Big 3 talks since is all fandoms wanking what they consider elite.

Dragon Ball actually isn’t one of the Big Three. The Big Three are Naruto, One Piece, and Bleach (for some reason). Dragon Ball came before all of them. Dragon Ball Z is the father to the Big Three. No Dragon Ball = no Big Three.

In my opinion, Dragon Ball Z was its own era with Lupin The Third and Cowboy Bebop. The Big Three in my opinion is the ones who became popular in the 2000s, like Naruto, One Piece, and Bleach. Of course, Bleach fell off the map years later, but it was considered one of the Big 3

Nowadays, we tend to designate it as a status as far as what's hot in anime today, but in truth, there's only one Big 3...
