@@tartoflan Why do you think they're garbage? I find they add a lot of value to his art. His art is, while technical, definitely meant to appeal to the masses and is kind of generic without these Easter eggs or hidden elements. Those who look beyond the surface level appeal of his work get a shock for a reason. There's a huge contrast between the happy candid photo and the shocking reality of something depressing or frustrating taking place somewhere in the artwork. Artwork being controversial or shocking is a tale as old as time. Artists have always hidden meanings, propaganda, or messages in their work and it's always been for one reason or another, some less noble than others. But the point is that these controversies or hidden meanings are sometimes meant to spark conversations or induce complex emotions in the consumer. You're not supposed to take everything at face value. If you feel uncomfortable, you need to understand that perhaps that's the artists intention. That they want you to feel uncomfortable because they are reflecting a small piece of the harsh reality that we live in. That you're supposed to feel uncomfortable about the subject matter, because the idea or message being presented to you is an unpleasant one rooted in reality that so many people like to ignore or pretend doesn't exist.

The drawing at 5:57 actually has a few more layers to it, the pose used is a reference to a specific GIF of an anime girl being held up with the caption reading "CUNNY CUNNY CUNNY I LOVE CUNNY!!!" That plus the fact that the buttons on her uniform have the 😭emoji on them and the caption for the image uses the 💢emoji (both of which have some _very different_ connotations on the Japanese side of twitter compared to on the rest of the world) seems to imply that the Korean soldier is about 5 seconds away from getting fucked by the American soldier, which is... certainly a *_unique_* take on political satire I guess.

I'm baffled since people always say he has no artistic vision and there is no punchline aside from "being edgy." Usually people only say that in order to sound smart and cope with being offended, and it doesn't work here because sure there isn't any complex political statement, but the joke is subtle. Like it is literally subtlety: Hidden details that recontextualize an image; if you see a piece of art twice and get completely opposite emotions and tones, that is artistic vision if I've ever seen any. I mean it's a single image conveying two opposite worlds, that's as complex a joke as a wordless drawing can get.
@Alecations Жыл бұрын

As a Russian, I feel incredibly bad for what is happening right now. The fact that our goverment does something awful doesn't mean that everything connected to that country should be marked as evil, the war will end and people will get in touch with reality eventually. On the contrary I think that marking everything Russian as evil - fuels anger and hatred to the outside world among Russian people even more. I know a lot of people that war is necessary, because "everybody outside Russia hates Russia", which is not true obviously, but cancelation of "everything Russian" make it easier for people to think that, which really doesn't help

4:23 in the gravestone, you can see the katakana ナ (na), which implies that Kan*na* is buried there.

I never really thought of it that much when I started following Khyleri I just like what "that" artist draws and how "that" artist draw. I just remember how often I was confused when looking at the artworks and never really getting anything from it. That for me was a really weird and unexpected but enjoyable experience

well if his controversial arts are getting attention then that just proves his art sways people's emotion and that itself is a rare quality for an artist. i could draw something controversial or edgy and no one would even care. arts and illustrations doesn't always have to fit your moral standards in order to be acceptable. Galileo once expressed himself by going against the norm of his time aka not church friendly studies and look at what he's done for humanity.

Khyle is probably one of the only anime artists I like because they're interesting and not boring edit: wow I just noticed in the Pokemon one the Zubat is sad because hat girl killed it's trainer. I've never felt so bad for a Zubat before despite killing hundreds throughout all my saves.

I never really payed attention to their art this much but now I am really intrigued into Kyle’s little stories, references, real life bits now and then as after watching this I have an eye out for them now. I’ve always found their artwork really unique and I’d never thought I’d see a whole video just about them but it feels great and rewarding in a way? I don’t know lol. I’m just happy their work is getting the recognition it deserves, and holy hell posting that consistent is absurdity. I’m surprised Kyle doesn’t have a world record by now.

One of the few twitter artists I see and think, damn... that's "Art". Like in the pretentious sense. Sometimes they go overboard with the little details in ways that are just insensitive and if people hate them for that, 100% understandable. There was the chris chan work, the anya holocaust work, too many to count but.... His work really disturbs the comfortable, and comforts the disturb. It really hits that awful soft spot.

As an artist who has a schedule to follow myself, i think that its more plausible that Kyle draws more than one piece a day and posts them timely. Even tho his style is fairly simplified for such level of realism and detail in the pieces, that allows for a more fluid workflow which totally works if you think thats the case. Ofc, he could also have an ungodly productivity rate too, but its more realistic to think of the other possibility haha
