Birdie, Kittydog, and Puppy are prime examples why internet fame at such a young age just f*cks up a child's perception of things. And ultimately affecting their adulthood heavily in the future. I feel for them in a way that their childhood was essentially robbed by the internet and turned into something awful and now they're so addicted to the fame and the attention they don't know how to function as a normal person anymore. Although some factors aren't a result of their early online fame, but a lot of it is and it's just so heartbreaking. This is why I implore parents to carefully monitor their child's internet access, I personally think kids that young shouldn't be online at all but if you do allow it please be a responsible parent and be there with them. Sometimes a little bit of monitoring is necessary for your child's mental health and safety online.

@@naganut9718 again I said it's my personal opinion! I can't control what parents do or do not let their kids do. As I said at the very least monitor what their doing to make sure everything is okay, especially if this is a really young kid. I wish I wasn't allowed on the internet at the ripe age of 9 but I was luckily it didn't screw me up too bad? Either way if you think it's too excessive then alright! If you ever have kids (I'd understand if not I hate the idea myself) you can just make sure they're not getting themselves into trouble! Sorry if this is long I just feel like you're not gonna fully understand me unless I put it into full context /Nm /gen

@@RedPawner kittydog at one point was groomed into some kind of zoophile ring but they're okay now and recovering, they still draw suggestive stuff but kittydog is an adult now and never targeted a young audience, its just that the art style being cartoony made things end up like that. I think that's actually a blessing in disguise if you ask me because nobody would have been concerned if kids weren't following their content.

@@sethinstra i disagree, i think the shoes and hands on the old one at 13:53 are quite clearly better and they are downgraded in the one on the right. style changes are pretty much natural, but usually i feel like you take what you've learned previously and expand on that, rather than remove details and make it more squiggly. and i'll admit the hair on the old one doesn't work on the newer one, but there's no reason why those shoes couldn't have laces, im not gonna say she lost skill but i think she just got lazy

@@sethinstra as an artist as well who has seen many artists pull off simplified art styles well and doesn't think more detail necessarily means better art, puppy-chan's art is not an example of that. her anatomy actually looks quite good in older pieces, even the more cartoonish ones, but in the newer art it looks like she started to forget how to draw. it lacks skill and polish compared to her older work imo

growing up with internet access has really confirmed in my mind how true this is. Kids obviously want access to it but yeah no they definitely shouldn't be allowed on at all when they're really young and even when they get older parents should restrict and monitor access with an obvious case by case awareness. The worst part is that kids themselves think they know what they're doing and will be fine and don't realize until much later how risky and unwise what they were doing was and a lot of parents are still very internet ignorant which is a big issue as well.

hi! im an artist whos also autistic (got tested and everything) i just wanna say: having autism IS NOT AN EXCUSE for someones shi tty behavior for example: if i do smt thats not ok,i have to accept to consequences for my actions AND CANT BLAME IT ON AUTISM ! AUTISM IS NOT AN EXCUSE FOR SOMEONES BAD ACTIONS!! yes autism makes you act different and also makes you experience the world different but that doesnt mean, that you can get away with no consequences after doing something that’s clearly not ok . anyways i hope yall have a good day :)

At the end of the day I’d say this really falls down to one key issue: puppychan didn’t have any normal or healthy communities in their life. They were caught between Twitter and a cultist family, and never figured out how to make normal friends or develop a real support network. They didn’t have a check in their life to catch them from falling into the deep end.

I hate how the "being a minor" defense is used recently. Its like a switch for them. They can do things that are obviously not ok for a minor to be doing, and its "let people enjoy things." Then suddenly, when someone calls them out for something, they pull the minor card. If this continues, this will only hurt people who are minors and victims of crimes that target minors

Twitter knows no significance for their actions. They use labels and identities as weapons for internet drama rather then truly caring about them. The worst part is how it shields them from criticism that relates to their own content/actions. I really don't think Antoons calling the "period blood" thing out was weird in any way like people made it out to be. Puppy had claimed to be biologically male, however that would mean she's incapable of having periods. His point was objectively correct around the board. I grew up in the MW2 age, where your age did not matter at all bcs no matter what you were a target. People were assholes, but it was fun. I cannot tell you how many times i'd been harassed, called out, or just downright bullied by ppl in my age group or higher online, it's NORMAL. So I really don't see it fit for anybody to pull the minor card to discredit backlash, because we have seen how that plays out. Look at most of the big "Influencers" on Instagram, Snapchat, and TikTok today, they all started as minors, did dumb shit as minors, got excused for it... and now they'll continue to do dumb immature shit for the entirety of their career. All because it's wrong to criticize a minor.

It's easy to say but most of the times people in such a position return to the abuser a min of 12 times. People treat the situations of “kid drawing nsfw” all wrong. They immediately attack them as if they just said something racist. The truth is you have to handle this much more maturely. Kids who make things like this are often victims of grooming/sex abuse, or just generally have an unhealthy porn addiction. Report their content, and if you want to tell them something, just be serious and stern, like: “Hey, I know you’re going through a time in your life where you’re curious, but you are putting yourself at risk by creating this content at this age, and its something you’ll possibly regret”

I don’t know what sort of JW are in America but where I live it’s just a religion like others like one of my family’s friends are JW and they’re completely normal. They’re parents are best friends with my parents all the kids are very extroverted and friendly like they have a daughter my age we’re both 04 and she literally is friends with the whole city she even participated in a pageant and won. And her family was there rooting for her. I’m saying this to say being JW isn’t always this chaotic evil thing

i have a friend whos a jehovahs witness and she told me that she isnt allowed to have friends cus it was most likely that the people she meets at school arent jehovahs witness so she had to keep her friends a secret from her parents

@@soldecle As someone born and raised as jw, it certainly isnt a chaotic evil thing all the time, but i did leave because i got tired of it. religion was never really my thing and i only stuck with it because i was afraid of my parents kicking me out or shunning me, and also having to deal with talking to the elders. i respect anyone who is still JW because thats their belief and i'm fine with that, but there are people who were once jw and left it for various personal reasons, and i find it quite annoying when JWs try to re-indoctrinate us back into the belief even though we have stated our discomfort / discontent with being in the religion.

yup. JWs aren't allowed non-JW friends, you don't get birthdays/halloween/christmas, you have to keep folk at a distance and can get disfellowshipped (iced out) for stupid shit like 'attended a rowdy college party'. There's a disfellowshipped guy covering caleb and sophia that goes into it, even the most sanitized showing of JW beliefs via cartoon propaganda shows the cracks pretty early. (caleb has to throw out a wizard warrior toy he was given because Magic Bad and jehovah won't like it, Sophia is sad because she has no kid friends her age so they try awkwardly saddling her with a teenager from church) ...so yeah, she didn't go out and touch grass and network with people because unless there were other congregation families nearby that wasn't *allowed.* I'm guessing her mum had no idea what the hell a twitter was and everything downspiralled from there, that's without getting into "not-straight person existing in JW".

No, I think she could have achieved a healthier balance with her family snd a healthier mental state regardless of rhe religion. She made the mistake of running headfirst into the internet as a kid and her parents should have regulated her usage more and fostered a healthier bond.

17:14 This is a sign. "The little innocent child, who lost her innocence at eight does not exist anymore". A sign that she might've been groomed and other abuse related to it. People should be more mature in handling kids who are possibly victims, which reflected in her art.

It's not a sign. She probably wasn't groomed. It's her being overly dramatic and trying to get attention. Actually groomed people don't say anything even remotely close to that, most are either to lost in the sauce or ashamed to be that openly melodramatic

as someone who sometimes age regresses, i can agree with 1 thing. Age regression isn't s//ual, and it's a trauma response. In my childhood, i was heavily abused by my own sister and forced to do s//ual things for her. So, sometimes, i regress into a more kidlike state. It isn't voluntairy, but the fact Puppychan is treating it like something s//ual is just...ew ew ew ew ew.

i feel bad for her to be honest. As someone who is autistic himself, we tend to slip into online communities easily, often times bad ones, but for many people the realization hits too late. I really wish she could have gotten the support she needs in time. (also fuck Antoonz)

I don't think that being autistic played a big role here. Anyone could have fallen into this behavior. + Her basically bragging about her autism, makes me question if she really was autistic. I also don't think it was purely the comunity's fault, either. It was a combination of her parents, not giving her enough attention and being nuts, the comunity, instead of confronting her, they pampered her And gave her the attention she wanted, but not in a way that she needed. And... Let's face it, She was old enough! If she was aware of herself, and intelligent enough to take her own life into her own hands and rather than become terminally online, go outside, literally touch grass, go do sports or something... None of this would have happened. And yeah, maybe being autistic plays a role in that... I wouldn't really know. I don't know much about autism, accept for some conversations with an autistic classmate, and my psychologist when they told me about it, and that I May be slightly autistic, before ruling that possibility out.
