Actually it's not animecorner but Sentai that gives them permission to ship out product if it's in their warehouse early before street date. Funimation does the same thing I asked both companies at a con about RIghstuf doing the same thing. I got my copy of HOTD on Nov 1st, while others got it over a week before the release date of Nov 4th. Hell I got the drifters of the dead OVA almost 3 months early but on average 2-4 weeks is the norm if it's going to be early.

Hey! I was just wondering how tall this box set is. I care about the aesthetic of my collection so I'd really love this to be the same height as a bluray box rather than did height haha.

This set is very similar in height to most of my box sets. It is may be the smallest amount taller than your average limited edition Funimation boxset (about 7 inches). But it looks like Sentai has made them just about the same height as that. Hope this helps =)

Is the place respectable? I'm sorry but i'm just not familiar with the store as i usually stick to amazon, or best buy, or sometimes moviestop, or god forbid sometimes wal mart.

***** I can say without a doubt this store is very respectable. I have used them for years. There packaging jobs are second to none and they care a lot about customer care. Have even had a email conversation with the owner. Very cool guy. But if your still unsure about them I suggest checking out there facebook page. They update frequently and have a great weekly newletter about everything new in the anime world :)

Great video. I just got mine in the mail. Rightstuf was having a sale on this for $50 so I jumped on it! Honestly though I'm kind of disappointed about the box, why is it so big?! Usually its for when the next season comes out theres a place to put it, but this show (as far as i know) isn't going to have another season. So why make the box so big? They could have easily packaged the extra stuff outside of the main box. Why would I want to keep that box with the extras in the main box!? Sorry for using your comments to vent pal.

Penguins Burn Red Haha. I know man but for real its weird. I don't know about you but I've been buying COLLECTORS editions since "X" or thereabouts (DVD 1998 or something, which I still own). Ive just never seen a box like this that leaves a permanent place for the collectables. Any normal person takes those out of the box. And if the box is double sized like this its because theres another season coming out to fill that hole. Am I seriously the only person on the planet thinking this?! Ive been searching everywhere for someone else acknowledging this oddity but to no avail.

Andrew White Maybe it was meant for 2 seasons, chapter 30 came out in 2013 or 2014 and that's the start of a NEW season. So it be awesome if it was and you could either A buy season 2 bluray and fill in the box B buy the season 2 collectors edition haha. my guess is they tried saving on something and came to the conclusion that making the box big and shoving the bonuses into another box haha. Hey mcdonalds saves 2 cents by putting playdoh and breast implant substances into their chicken nuggets, companies will do anything to save money anywhere. But if you like mcdonalds don't worry they got busted for it and are now taking it out....or so they say
