For real man I told some of my friends I dont like JJK and they were all taken aback and shit. I wasn't even just hating I had actually issues with the pacing and how characters got discarded before being fully fleshed out in S2. Like this may not be a popular opinion but I thought Hanami was the most interesting of the special grade curses because she was essentially following nature's wishes and it had me wondering, "Whoa is she misinterpreting nature or does the JJK world actually want humans gone" it seemed like it could set up some really interesting lore but she just dies to Gojo. I know it makes sense but it felt really boring the same with the Zenin clan head's death right when we just see his power.

Honestly the only reason I still stick with jjk is the curses and side characters I do not care about the main characters I do not care about kenjaku and sukuna I’ve read ahead in the manga and I know it does not get better, only worse from here as well The ones I do find interesting or at least investing are side characters like miwa and todo and the curses except they’re all either pushed out the story or DEAD eventually

One person uses the word fraud, now everybody gonna describe someone losing as a fraud. Someone describes someone as lightskin, now everybody a lightskin. I feel this on a spiritual level, I see a lot of JJK youtubers who barely even understand the things that was stated in the episode. I know generally people won't be as into things while farming for the algorithm but it makes me sad that a lot of what's actually happening gets thrown out for repeated jokes. Not even just JJK but just most anime in general I just noticed it a lot with JJK since it is my favorite series so its very noticeable when they're getting that slop out quickly.

the first anime youtuber that I watched that did that "hood" review type of content was Synsei and after about a month of it I started seeing people imitating the thumbnail styles and commentary and either he stopped posting or got drowned out by the swarm of easy content creators.

When it comes to Hood Anime Content, it definitely gets over saturated with memes like “I’m HIM” or “Black Air Force Energy” way too often. I personally would like to see more insightful things similar to something Swagkage would put out for Naruto. In our current climate, the popular thing to do is copy what others do (Which is dumb, but makes sense at the same time) and unfortunately it leads to people becoming “Clones”. My solution isn’t really a “solution”, but I would just ignore most of them for right now and watch stuff that seems informative. That’s it’s for me dawg.

as someone who gets labelled under the "commentary" genre i do agree that a lot of these people just be rushing they shit out as soon as the episode drops. people like zeph, cj, teddy, and synsei tend to stick out since they all got a unique style and are genuinely creative people. that's why ion be rushing shit out and try to make the most unique commentary video possible to provide viewers with an abridged experience especially with the shibuya arc currently. overall, this a good video tho.

There isnt anything "diversified " in either content just that the creator is entertaining enough and logically adapt in presenting information about the topic rather then brain rot. I mean admitedly this has kinda always been a thing, i remember the "why the asterick war sucks" videos from years ago lmao, plus it was cool to clown on sword art online and it is still pretty much a success lol. Back when i was a lot younger and had nobody to talk to about anime and it was hard to find anime i watched those videos and ironically it was kinda like gospel to me lmao, not just digi, but a lot of the people from back then i found myself just parroting their opinions lol. It took a couple years but eventually i just started to try out new things and see what i like, sometimes i still watch videos to see if something is interesting or to get a new perspective but i find that its more interesting to watch either reviews or introspectives on shows i have actually already watched.... heaven knows i have watched enough videos about hunter x hunter or berserk while pretty much anything that can be said has been said already about those series besides when a new chapter drops, or a new arc starts, but its interesting nontheless. At the end of the day the new hotness can bring viewers in and people all keep looking for the new popular thing until it gets annoying, same reason why those songs that get played way too much get annoying after awhile (i cant take the black eyed peas anymore man, why do my parents love i gotta feeling so much lol),

Idk if I'm just jaded but I feel like anime youtube has become very stagnant. Nobody watches anime outside of their comfort zone anymore. Nobody wants to talk about the intracies of the industry. Like, not trying to sound like an old head but niggas use to actually TALK about the anime they like. They would speak about the story, do deep dives into directors body of work, read a mangaka's whole body of work, and like analysis it all to give us their own unique perspective on things. It use to actually feel like they gave a shit about what they were talking about. I get that like an hour long video about the themes in Angel's Egg or Tracking down some lost OVA from the beginning of some director's career isn't everyone's cup of tea and won't pull in the same view count as like "Toji black air force energy comp 134" but like...damn can you niggas at least come up with something unique to say about this character you apparently love so much?

I spend a lot of time watching anime, would be cool to capture those feelings to make it easier to communicate my interest with other people and also make it easier to reflect on my perspectives and whatnot as time passes... - "internet anime ghetto lingo" this was interesting. while I enjoy and laugh at hearing "Toji spun the block and exhibited black Air Force energy" or whatever. Just such a ridiculous verbiage that I never considered if people actually spoke like it. Hearing you discredit that as non-existent outside the internet was interesting mostly because even this language doesn't really communicate characters and their intentions well... for instance, saying Toji as "peak darkskin energy" when he fought Gojo the first time completely washes away Toji's experiences in the Zenin family as a heavenly restricted user and how killing the strongest sorcery was that much more meaningful to someone in his position after having lost any semblance of a household / family and his wife dying. Like we could go into that further and possibly connect to real world examples. but Nah, Toji ran this, ran that, was running everywhere, he ran pockets and purses and...and.... like one or TWO humorous videos is good, fine. but all this copypaste is just not fun. And yea nobody is making me watch jjk videos. im just saying it's a little annoying to hear the same rinsed jokes when I thought I was clicking on a theory video. but I mean, I guess it my problem for enjoying theory videos of fictional worlds anyway. I can't quite blame video creators. What we're seeing is probably people's best attempts at balancing "Making a video about a topic Im interested in" with "Making a video that people would want to watch, rewatch, share, enjoy,...etc". but u can never go wrong with creativity. idk good video though can't wait to see your ideas and takes mentioned again and again in other channels thanks to the nature of trending topics 😂

I wish more KZbinrs were more like KJMProduction. He does weekly videos recapping DBZ and he also cracks jokes too, but he actually does recap and express his opinions during the show, and every now and then provides insight that most fans don't think about or realize. He's the reason why I always take my breaks at 2pm on Sundays. The man has also talked about other animes in the past and his takes also feel great and refreshing

this is one of the things i've also realized also with reactors, at least when it comes to JJK. there are a few reactors who actually take their time to read the subtitles and understand what's going on in the story but soooo many reactors feel like they just turn off their brain and are just there to watch cool flashy fights and like sure JJK does have a lot of cool fights but especially this season there's so much more to talk about in terms of story, characters, etc... i wish people would actually take some time to talk about the things the story itself instead of just wanting to watch cool animation.

I have the same problem sometimes i will find a video i like and think i finally found someone only to realize i just found the exact same thing. There are two anime youtubers that i still like one a reviewer and one analytical however they do not get any attention and i fear that one day they will suffer the same fate. The only anime related content i watch outside of that is amvs, clips abridged shows and sometimes even shows or movies if i am lucky. For me I love people like Olowwo Cj dachamp and Phillyonmars. Those are the only three KZbinrs that can do the “hood” anime review. Especially Philly since he’s the most different one to say the least. Honestly, I'd add Codename Super, Synsei, and Zephire on that list too. CodenameSuper may sound like another "Hood Anime Tuber", but he more than makes it up by having great editing skills, he uses smart/witty metaphors to explain events, and he rarely spams the same joke over and over again. He sounds more "normal" with it than a lot of these guys. Zephire expands himself to comics, video games, and even covers old cartoons and anime like Yu Yu Hakusho, Fist of the North Star, and Static Shock. He's also able to treat a serious moment as it's meant to be treated and gives good context to why and how the situation came to be, like the Gojo Fraud Watch stuff and actually added to good context on what actually happened instead of just mocking Gojo blindly. Synsei, I think we all know him. He has made a lot of different ideas for his videos even before CJ and though CJ condenses his video and sacrifices brevity for the sake of quality, Synsei is the type to leave no stone unturned in his reviews when it comes to clarity and can actually callback on obscure yet important details in his jokes (like his issue with Sanji reclaiming his true dream from finding All Blue to being he wanted to find the Suke Suke No Mi to spy on naked women, which is canon as it happened) and is one of the very few to admit memes are just memes and that he doesn't believe them at all (Goku is a bad father/Zoro is racist), which is refreshing to me, because the way the anime community acts on topics like these, it's as if they truly believe it while completely ignoring contexts and contrary instances to these moments. TLDR; along with the three people you mentioned, I believe these other three are great at what they do too and I'm sure there's more people who are good at it too, DerekFBG is one who seems he's going the right direction in commentary, but they're way too many copycats legitimately acting the same.

So real for this. When I’m in a stump for ideas, I try to see others ppl content to gain some inspiration on what animanga to talk about or maybe even learn somethings on just content creation in general, but every time I browse through the anitube community, esp as of the last year or so, it’s the same shit with the black force energy characters, racial jokes about how this one character acts or jus ppl obv trying to follow the latest trendy anime, putting out a very lacklustre surface lvl review on it. Not even trying to hate since everyone is tryna make it out with this, but I miss seeing someone’s video n genuinely get inspired to make something that might be totally different than theirs but I would hope would be as entertaining, fresh and thought provoking as the one I would come across. But that’s jus not how it is anymore unfortunately.
