For context; Daemon Lords are different from Demon Lords. Daemon Lords, sometimes translated as Daemon Dukes or Daemon Peers, are the second from last evolution of the Daemon race before they evolve into Devil Lords, the only current Devil Lord in the Anime (to my knowledge) is Guy Crimson. Demon Lord, note the lacking ‘a’, is more of a ‘class’ and title than actual race, and is interesting to note that the Harvest Festival only increases your power and acts as a catalyst for the evolution of races and Skills, anything that can be gained from the Harvest Festival can be gained from training although it’ll take ages to achieve. Ultimate Skills don’t NEED a Harvest Festival to evolve but that’s the most optimal event for them to do so with all the excess energy their hosts have in the awakening process.

actually shizu never won against him, on the contrary that mask was the only thing that protected shizu from him, the masked took diablo's arm and diablo's was amazed about it and peeked his curiosity thats why he pulled back and started spectating again and then found out rimuru started unraveling the source of power of that mask that took his arm and he started observing rimuru and confirm on his own that rumur is a being that existed far greater higher than them primordials thats why he decided to worship him because of it.

The negative reaction for his name is because he is one of the strongest primordial that's why everyone making a fuss about him getting a name, like another primordial that could possibly be as strong as the strongest Primordial, Yeah I don't think anyone would be happy hearing it. Also he was known as being a freak among the primodial, he never seek for power and answering summoning only to anyone he interested to. He's weird in general.

Because he's the only one who can rival Guy Crimson. That is how strong he is. Guy is only ahead of him because Diablo had no motivation to be stronger till Rimuru came along.

Even without knowing his past, it's pretty obvious why people would be utterly shocked by it. Diablo is one of the few Primordial demons, who are the strongest of all demonkind. Considering the fact that even Archdemons are considered quite a nuisance to most people, stronger demons are problematic. But then accounting for the fact that Diablo got a name, things get pretty extreme. For him to have a name it means 2 things: there was someone powerful enough to name him, and also someone who thought it reasonable to do so. If a being is strong enough to name a Primordial, that means that they are beyond the typical level of an awakened Demon Lord. Veldora or the other True Dragons might be some of the few beings that would consider it normally. And, of course, if he has a name, that also means that he is even stronger than he was as a regular Primordial. His power might not be at the level of Guy Crimson - who evolved into a Devil Lord by naming himself - but it's definitely second to him. That level of existence is basically incomprehensible to almost everyone and yet Rimuru is out there just casually having him make tea or overthrow a nation every once in a while.
