If we wanna get into specifics, I'd say Josh Agarrado or Pianeet are the legit founders, I don't think there were anipiano content creators before them. Maybe Theishter started around the same time I'm not too sure. But Animenz is basically the Eren Jaegar of this community. Always fighting and never giving up, growing with new Titan abilities and improving. And technically a Founding Titan as well because of when his channel was made in respect to the first anipianists. And Ishy is Reiner because everyone is asking for him to return and make new covers but he just wants to be left in peace💀

Even if I sacrifice everything, I will protect you." 👉 Up and down scales, moving freely between both hands = truly free(?), going through each highs and lows to protect his friends. - 1:29 "Even if this is a mistake, I don’t doubt it. What is right is believing in myself strongly." 👉 Steadfast and firm bass notes = believing in himself + in 1:39 the ostinato returns alone = acting himself, even if what he's doing is wrong. Hint that he’s not really free. Believes he can save his friends with his actions alone though - 1:46 Time is ticking, has to act before his home and freedom is taken. - 1:51 "A scene of iron rain falling. It looked like a movie on TV. War is a stupid, violent thing, Why should I care about countries I don’t even care about." 👉 Melody in highest register, daunting and frightening feeling. They love each other, they tried, but in the end they couldn't properly communicate - 3:33 "Behind my righteousness, surrounded by sacrifice, in my heart is a child of evil." - 3:38 Animenz actually repeats the last line, which is not in the original. - 3:44 Similar to "My Dearest [10th Anniversary]" at 6:58 and maybe "Sincerely" at 5:10 onwards. It's really heartbreaking to listen to "Massarana Daichi", which is about Mikasa. Please give it a listen! 1:06 The emphasis there is wonderful. Slight rubato and pull back makes that section feel slightly mysterious and almost as if hesitant / unsure if they want to move on or not 1:09 Jeezzz when I first heard this on the livestream I was absolutely SHOOK. I was totally expecting some arpeggios + threehand (guess I can still keep that for my arrangement huhu), but the SCALES did such a brilliant job at representing the wonderful flourishes and runs from the strings in the original. Absolutely wonderful use of scales!
