The one thing about AoT that doesn't make a lick of sense is Ymir falling in love with King Fritz. I feel like Isiyama wrote himself into a corner with his history and couldn't justify why Ymir didn't just immediately kill Fritz after gaining her titan form, so he just went I dunno I guess she inexplicably fell in love with the king cuz she's a dumb woman or w/e.

I think it's because Ymir was blinded by the thought that the king and his kingdom needed her. Remember that she was just a nothing in their village and was ignored by everyone back when she had no titan powers yet.

It makes *absolute* sense, Ymir was a slave who would always put her self second even for pigs. She never had thought for herself as she was a follower. Ofc she would submit herself to the king no matter the punishment, what standards did she have in that world at the time And that is still very much common with abusive relationships in the world now, the guy will beat the woman and she will still defend the boyfriend Isayama portrayed the theme of being a slave and being free in such a beautiful concept

the saddest moment was when Mikasa killed Eren to end the rumbling. Eren knew what had to be done to save Eldians devised a plan, knowing it would ultimately lead to his own death. he didnt need to do it, as he didnt have much to live for (his family is all dead except Zeke), and Mikasa only lives for Eren, but she still did it anyway. for those who are interested, there is a video of what happened after the entire series ended with the voice actors coming out to talk about it, Mikasa's and Eren's VA made a very touching clip together

Anyone else ever noticed that the spear heading towards Fritz would have hit his chestplate, meaning that if Ymir didnt jump in the way then Fritz would probably have had a few broken ribs at most (presuming the chestplate was practical not just ornamental, which id presume since it looks the same as the ones the soldiers wore) meaning that she would have died later, likely meaning that titans would have been even stronger and the shifters would get to live longer

So wait, you said Eldia attacked small village called; "Marley". Ymir resided there. So Ymir is basically Marleyan by blood and her children are half Eldian by Fritz and half Marleyan by Ymir. I guess the Eldian blood heritance is stronger than the Marleyan. Then Eldians began giving birth to children in their bloodline of Eldia, while little to no contact to Marleyan bloodline. (Excluding, that in the future current time there were more of Eldian and Marleyan bloodkind children) That would make sense, Eldian blood is just far more superior compared to Marleyan blood.?
