It was also the fact that he tapped into the selfless state that gave him the Yurichi aura (along with the earrings and how he spoke). The man almost killed Muzan ( the Demon King) the first time he encountered him. After Muzan ran away like a Bit$$, his group shunned him for failure to kill Muzan. Having people mad at you for failing to do something they've never been close to doing is complete BS. The man created breathing styles for the DemonSlayers to eve have a chance to defeat Muzan and in the end was thrown to the side, told to commit suicide. Showing that no matter how much good you do for the world, some people will throw you to the side the second they can. Yorichi deserved so much better.
