I loved how this season had a lot more focus on Subaru learning to make the most out of his restarts rather than use/abuse the abilities power cause he’s more aware of what it does to him

@@snacherofbodies3819 That was just an introduction to the major plot point that is the royal selection, that's why people call arc 3 (especially From Zero) the last part of Re:Zero's prologue, it just didn't feel like it very much in the anime because season 1 wasn't sure to get a continuation

This is the point where I really started to love everyone in the series. Beako,Emilia,Roswaal and Otto really jumped into my list of favourites with Rem and Crusch when I first read this arc,placings have changed around with later arcs but I still love all of them.

I love how this season of Re: Zero really focused on deconstructing Subaru's prideful character and reconstructed it into someone who knows he has people beside him, and is willing to rely and trust them. Season 1 Subaru was annoying at times, but Season 2 really made Subaru into one of my favourite MCs. Can't wait for Seasons 3 and 4.

7:32 Honestly so hyped to be mentioned. 24:28 We don't actually see the black serpent in this scene, that thing is just its poison. As you may remember from the Frozen Bonds OVA, the poison can move on its own. 30:18 This isn't stated directly in the anime, but the reason Otto threw off Roswaal's plan is that he is one of the few people who is not recorded in the Tome Of Wisdom. The reason why hasn't been revealed. 30:50 The Hatsumaki was mentioned in the memory snow OVA. 44:50 The author stated in an interview that even if Elsa had a happy childhood she probably still would be a psycho. 45:48 What Puck is saying here in this frame is him talking about how Roswaal changed his speech pattern to sound like Hector (dragged out vowels), as a reminder of his loss. Puck is insulting him for clinging to the past. This fight is Puck ad Ram convincing him to move on. After Ram burns his book, the outlet of his obsession towards Echidna, you'll notice that while Roswaal is holding Ram's body asking what to do, he changes pronouns to "Boku", the pronoun he used when he was young, as Roswaal A Mathers, showing that he hasn't grown since those days. 51:05 Beatrice noises

He made a soul pact with Roswaal where if he didn't finish the whole thing this cycle, he would have to take up the Witch of Greed on her contract and that basically just means dying as many times as she sees fit so she can get all of the knowledge.

I just noticed that at win 291 they even animated the bushes rustleing a little when she slides in... without the telltale different colour palette so common in many other anime on moving stuff. I agree. I'm not comparing AOT or Re Zero. But I like Re Zero more than AOT as a personal preference. Never have I felt so many emotions while watching an anime. Re Zero gives shock, sadness, happiness, hope, slice of life moments, anger, despair, redemption....so many things in a well balanced way.

I usually dont like videos since I like my Like playlist to be mostly music so I can listen to it, but I like yours ^^ Some wins I wouldve given: The audio and visual effect during Ottos flashback that made us somewhat experience things the way he heard them. Ram pushing Garfield of her lap xD During the talk between Subaru and Emilia when they kissed Emilia was reflected by Subarus eyes the whole time while subaru only reflected in emilias eyes once he convinced her his feelings were genuine and that he was really seeing her for who she is not a perfect self he made up. During the talk between Subaru and Emilia when they kissed Subaru used words given to him by both Rem and his mother to make Emilia feel better, passing along the good intentions and wisdom of other people to her. At the start of Emilias trial when talking to Echidna she then used the way Subaru introduces himself including the posing to make herself seem more confident as well. The clone that removed the crystal and with it the barrier had echidnas voice not the one the clones usually have.

I thought a lot about how it's possible that Garfiel changed every single time. Obviously it shows how unpredictable he is to Subaru, but technically it should be impossible that the timeline behaves differently, if Subaru acts the same way. Except Garfiel was somehow connected to the timetravel aswell, but he is not. The only thing that is different every time is Subaru, Garfiel is the same person with the same goals, wants and needs. So Garfiel acting so very different every time has to be a reaction to Subaru, the only variant in an otherwise constant timeflow. I came the conclusion that Subaru acts in slightly different ways after every restart, because the mental bagage he has to carry and his understanding of the situation change every time. Garfiel has to have a very sharp sense for the most subtle behaviours of people. He probably subconsciously reads different meanings into Subaru's words and actions, resulting in different reactions in every single timeline, because the way Subaru speaks, looks, feels and behaves differs. Rarely people have noticed that Subaru changed somehow after a restart before, like Rem meeting Subaru at the fruit stand after each Petelguise related restart, noticing that something has to have happened. Yet Garfiel, who doesn't even know Subaru, passively reacts to those changes every single time. Nonverbal communication changing the way Garfiel percieves Subaru's intentions to such an extend is a very animal like thing to do, which really fits his character. Now that I already talk about Garfiel, I also highly value that the writer picked up Garfiel's decision to join Subaru's cause again with Roswaal questioning the "sudden change". It's a common weak anime trope, that the hero beats an enemy, the enemy joins his cause and from that moment on, the conflict is gone and the character becomes boring and his arc is over. Roswaal's question forced Garfiel to give a much better answer than just "I lost, so now I fight for Subaru". Subaru actually has something to offer that Garfiel wants for his future, a place for his strength and a reason to grow, while Roswaal only reminded him of what he was afraid of in the past, his weakness and guilt. Now that he was able to get closure with his past, he can move on and decide what he wants for his future with a clear mind. Garfiel joining Subaru was not just "a side character beaten becoming an ally because anime", it was a reasonable and logical decision for the future, that a healthy mind took (also Garfiel has this "younger kid following an older kid he admires" energy, which I find very endearing). I really enjoy the new Subaru Otto Garfiel squad. Subaru deserves a reliable group of friends, with wich he shares a single brain cell from time to time. This season was amazing.

i loved the moment garf realized elsa was a vampire, explaning her coming back to life when betty killed her and her regeneration, also giving us a clue that pandora might be a vampire as well...on top of that the other bishop who can literally hakai the shit out of anything getting clowned by pandora showing how the gaps in power work..then the melancholy devil having a similar op ability...the magic in this world gets the chance to shine not just cuz of the amazing writing but also because subaru is not an op killing machine with unreasonable powers that make little to no sense (props to tensura for making sense of the op mc thing)

I don't know how I missed it originally, but your video made me notice Beatrice dancing with Petra and I absolutely love it. I love the two of them and I want Petra and Beatrice(and Rem and Emilia obviously) to stay by Suu-Ba-Ru's side forever. I just pray that he doesn't take too long and the Anime stays popular enough to keep going. I read somewhere that he was halfway done with the Manga/LN(and we won't find out about Satella and get all those answers until near the END which means it could be another 7-10 YEARS if the quote was from recently 😫😥😭) and not many Anime get that many seasons! I want to see Satella's reasoning, who/what/why on everything, especially why Subaru got pulled into this world in the first place, and I want to see Subaru after ALL his pain,misery,torture,sadness, and fractured mind, get rewarded with a HAPPY ending with at least the important people alive and not have to read it in the damn LN! Honestly though as long as in the end Subaru is with Beatrice,Rem, and Emilia, even if I would be bummed about losing anyone else, I will be totally satisfied. Although I will forever be sad that Subaru's kids with Rem from the "What If" story will never come to fruition :(

As far as the failed dust explosion goes, I don't think it's so much that it can't happen in this world as much as Subaru's once again acting out of his element. You can't just throw a bunch of dust over an open flame and expect it to explode - there are certain dust vs oxygen concentrations that come into play. The other part that makes it really funny is Subaru's VA being the same VA as Senku Ishigami from Dr. Stone.
