While not the most impactful of the bunch, I’ve always really liked Franky’s backstory as all of the pieces slowly fall into place one by one, all of the characters we’ve already seen slowly all coming together and revealing their connection to each other. It felt really unique and strangely realistic, probably because it actually shows so much time passing instead of fast cutting between years

never getting tired of chopper holding zoro's sword like that, it's like if we tried hold a broom with our index and middle fingers, hilarious. also, manga difference, in the manga Nami doesn't see the train at all, it's just gone when she gets there

I love this part of H2O7. its funny and tragic that both Zoro and Luffy are stuck. But next episode or the one after (when I think of H2O7 as being over) is a good cap. My first watch through I had no clue how arcs were divided up, so thought of H2O7 and Enes Loby and Post Enes Loby as a singular but long arc... Enes Loby. Tom stuff tho is my fave part of Water 7 over all. It was just such good vibes.

Iceberg: Wait Straw Hat already lost what can you do now? Nami: Lost? We haven't begun to fight yet! Once they know we have to save Robin there won't be any limit to their strength! Such a powerful scene after the painful defeats we agonized over!

19:10 Paulie and Zambai(Franky’s second in command)! Also, not shown but Mozu and Kiwi were among the first to ride the train! Fun fact, as later revealed in an SBS Oda, the sea train launch was what inspired Paulie to become a Shipwright. The Square Sisters and Zambai also tried to become Shipwright’s, but failed.

38:40 I will say the scene IS cool. But also a bit mistranslated. The actual translation is "A real man can see through a woman's lies"

Hopefully I'll see a few of you over there! 1) Weclome to Kyle Kowalchuk joining at the Krillin Tier! 2) Massive shoutout to DarkLordBloodySoul for a big pledge increase to Saitama tier! 3) Welcome to Liam James joining the Levi group!

Take note of the blonde bearded gentlemen spandam was talking to. I believe you have seen his future self already; if not then be ready to be surprised when you do find out. This is around my 20th time through this arc but the first time I noticed who that blonde guy was. It raises the question of why here of all places.

The Hype is real! Oda knocks this bit out of the park. One of the only times i’ve proper cried when reading something was when we hear and see whats happened to the Merry. The next few weeks are gonna be so lit! Also, i had never thought about it, cause i read it, but your comment about the villians in this arc is spot on. All the other villians, i’d argue minus crocodile were HUGE personalities. Bombastic and loud while CP-9 stands on pure business. Except Spandam. That guy gets what he deserves on the regular and he’s easily hateable and hilarious.

I love the running theme of Oda making you forget about Sanji with so much other stuff going on and then Sanji comes in out of nowhere with a sudden MVP play. First Little Garden, then Alabasta, then Skypiea, and now Water 7.

I think compared to some of the other backstories in One Piece, Franky's tends to get pushed to the side a little. Especially compared to Robin's backstory which if you haven't gotten to yet then hoo boy you are not ready for it. But still I feel like Franky's backstory has quite a lot of insight to give about taking pride in your work and Tom is a wonderful continuation of the trend of old mentors in One Piece being badass and full of wisdom.

Oh Geese, you are such a great side character. Oh, Elinalise, you are more than your curse. Oh Lilia, you are such a loving seco- er third mom for Rudeus. Oh Slyphy, such a loving angel of a woman. Oh Roxy, such a lovable and selfish yet incredibly selfless person. Oh Lucy, even day 1 of being alive you are the cutest thing I've ever seen. Oh Norn, you are such a pained child yet so strong, I wish you happiness. Oh Aisha, you're so cute and yet so weird in your comedic moments. Oh Rudeus, your lowest moments resonate with me even if your perversions exceed my tolerances at times. Oh Paul...you were such a dad, maybe not the best one, but definitely an irreplaceable one.

After watching season 2, most other anime just don't seem relevant anymore. This was better than I had hoped for - the hard work of all of the staff really shined. A lot of isekai has been flooding the market - but most don't make the effort to deliver anything special. This story is special, and it's still got a lot more to show us. I also loved how becoming a mom changed Sylphy from a fairly awkward girl to a beautiful and mature young woman. She was glowing. The more I see the details, the more amazing this story becomes.

Well, I'm reading through the light novels and caught up on the anime so I can watch this now. I don't know how I feel about this story because he gets a bit too OP too fast, compared to other hunters but at least the enemies seem to keep with it. If nothing else it's good eye candy for sure and I like how the 'system' works.

I absolutely despised the mc early on, and was fully supporting the characters that she was trying to eliminate. But later on, I actually started to like Nana once she shown remorse and guilt in certain points. Good character development. Waiting for a S2
