But that's unrealistic. "My Life as Inukai-san's Dog" has age restrictions and don't air on popular TV channel. For example, my first consciously watched anime (the one I looked for and sat through every single episode) was "Recently, my sister is unusual", but before that, when I was little, I've unconsciously/accidentally had seen on TV parts (or even whole episodes) of Pokemon, Sailor Moon, original Fullmetal Alchemist, Shaman King, Neon Genesis Evangelion and at least two Ghibli movies (Spirited Away and Howl's Walking Castle). So can I really say "Recently My Sister is Unusual" was my first anime? Only with huge asterisk. The same will be with "My Life as Inukai-san's Dog" - it is impossible hard to become someone's first anime when more popular anime is broadcasting on television.

I mean, just the premise alone of some shows can get my head spinning with ideas on how good it CAN be. Is this going to be a story about: A lost dog is taken in by a kind woman and gifted to her daughter only to not even be wanted in the home at all. We get to explore the complex relationships between a working single mother who hardly sees her daughter, who is resentful of her for not spending time with her. The backstory of the stray dog who used to have an owner but how did they end up in this state? How will the daughter deal with this new member of the family? If I wrote it I would have had a goal ending of; the dog was actually adopted by the father as a puppy and was going to be a gift to the daughter (only months old at the time). However, during a road-trip, the family got into a bad accident, only the mother and the daughter survived, with the dog nowhere to be found. But nah, let's just go straight up hentai doggy style.

I'm getting PTSD flashbacks from more than a few years ago, when I watched this infamous video on KZbin. It was a commentator telling a story of a young girl (she might have been 19 years old or younger?) hiding in some sort of bathroom/laundry with her male German Shepherd. She was acting weirdly paranoid, talking very softly as if someone was going to walk in on her. She confessed how she had a secret sexual relationship with her German Shepherd behind her family's back. Furthermore, she went into thorough detail throughout the entire video. Like claiming how her dog likes doing lewd stuff and doing “the devil's tango” while there's a loud mechanical noise that sounds like a dryer or something. Making the overall audio quality sound more like the equivalent of a Honda Civic's speakers bass boosted at full volume. Half the time you couldn't hear what the hell she was saying. It was one of the most cursed videos I had the misfortune of experiencing, it was like watching a catastrophic train wreck you couldn't look away from. Don't know if the video still exists.
