Shinji is basically Adam reborn as a human, in the anime his love shown to be unconditional, not sexual (conditional) Adam is the first human, who's basically the father or creator of all human beings. imho it's pretty obvious his unconditional love supposed to fill in the gap Shinji's father never gave him, and Kaworu would do anything to get Shinji a happy ending just like a loving parent would. He's actually a pretty deep character but all people care about is whether he's gay or not it's kinda sad...

Season 2 story-wise was a chaotic crap doing something then canceling it over and over again, even with main hextech storyline. Probably an outcome of squeezing plans for 3 further seasons into one. They should just cut more useless stuff from it. One example of being extremely chaotic - Vi caching Ambessa into a net and a few seconds later both teleporting to another location both being free for no reason...? It treats audience as stupid. Visuals are outstanding in every way though.

Watching Arcane made me return to a video game I played a lot of in the past, a game the show takes great inspiration from... A game called DISHONORED

One thing for sure is that joey is 100% madling when he hears "enemy" again they did word for word what joey said about what he would dislike in season 2 lol

One thing that confused me was Jayce and Mel’s relationship just suddenly stopped. No further explanation as to what happened between them. And they focused way too much with Vi and Cait and not enough of Jinx and Ekko.

They made it about something other that the conflict between piltover and zaun. That was the biggest flaw. What it ended up being about though was really good, even if it was a little sloppy getting there at times.

I think its pretty easy to make conclusions about why the characters are doing things and what happened to them in the inbetween but damn would it have been nice to see it on screen. The nuance that they would have added in those scenes (this is arcane) would have been so good. I suppose it says a lot about a show when its only problem was that there wasn't more of it.

The problem with second season is that it does not have character arcs. It's character segments. Feels like they're checking boxes with each episode, like "now we're here" and "now we're here", without really showing how a certain character goes from point A to B. Reminds me a bit of how Daenerys was treated, in the sense that her going mad was something that could have been credible at some point in the series, but not how they presented it, again because it was too rushed.

There was a season 2? Hey that's good news, guess I'll go watch that.

Personally none of faults you said even occured to me. More would have been nice, sure. Maybe they knew that waiting another couple of years for another season would have been too painful, or they knew Netflix's reputation for cancelling perfectly good shows before season 3

I honestly don't share your valid criticism of the pacing. I wouldn't have wanted the show to move any slower. Like, after Vi broke up with Cat, we get a music sequence visualizing how much time passed. Cat got to (again) brawl the rage out of her system. So when Jinx shows up, it feels all but natural that there isn't much rage left VI. And as the earlier fight has establish, ofc she still loves her sister. To me, Vis story was paced out perfectly well for what Arcane wants to be. If anything, I think they could've dropped the whole "Mel is a witch" part of the story. Solo 8/10 show to me. I love how western shows can display diversity and break with rules; may them come from left or right of the political spectrum. "No, women can't be brawlers and lesbian sex is shameful!" FUCK YOU! "No, two men cannot have intimate and deep love for each other without being gay!" FUCK YOU, TOO! Great show. Give me more of that, pls

story had no sense since episode 1 season 1... it's just gone bad as expected. The fact is o overhyped and overrated is a perfect depiction of how low critical thinking is in today society.

Garnt, I know these are opinions, but damn do I have feel so diffidently.

This show hit every beat for me and gave me enough. More than enough.

my favorite part of arcane is when ekko goes to the alternate universe and is happy, as it is a commentary on what the average league player's life would look like if they had never downloaded league of legends.

Watching with my friend who still plays League, he pointed out something I thought was pretty funny. Singed arguably is the only "winner" of Arcane. He finally gets what he wants, seemingly accomplishing his ultimate goal. He's a main character, but never the focus, always doing his own thing for his own reasons. Basically: SINGED WAS PROXY FARMING THE WHOLE SHOW AND WON. Also, Jinx's hextech pistol is Zap. I totally missed that connection.

Tldr season 2 felt more like a plot driven show compared to the very character driven plot of season 1. S2 is still definitely a character driven story but a lot less like the intricate development in season 1

isha is not a character. shes a plot device to redeem jinx. her sacrifice meant nothing. ambessa and viktor teaming up dosent make any sense. viktor was always against war but suddenly he teams up with a war monger, which he didnt even have to. his robots soloed everyone so why did he need ambessas help?

My favorite part was when Viktor asked "why do you persist after all I've done?" and Jayce said "because i promised you I'd make our dream into a reality, Viktor. sextech is finally in my grasp, we can use it forever in this insane mind palace thing you got going here." Truly the bromance of the ages, made me shed a tear.
