It was an amazing game where both sides tried to attack the opponent's king. But eventually it was Anish Giri who got first to the World Champion's king! A tremendous game filled with many different ideas and motifs at the 15th round of the World Blitz 2021.

Whatever you say about his Sarcasm, humor & a slightly erratic behavior at a time, but if I ever get a chance to befriend any of the Top GMs in this world, I will always choose Anish. He's total package of Fun, Seriousness, Brilliant Chess, On Point Sarcasm & mischief. Good Lad. Always love watching him. Magnus is also the same, but sometimes he can get unpredictable regarding his mood. That's not the case with Anish, he's always up for light hearted fun chit chat.

Magnus losing his "triple crown status" perhaps will make him rethink his comments on not defending his world champion title unless it is Alireza. Sometimes being the best makes you forget that there are plenty of competition with more than capable players to give you a challenge.
@livinvincent3418
@livinvincent3418 2 жыл бұрын
When Magnus made that comment he didn't mean that the other players are not good enough for him. His point was that he had beaten players from the previous generation and current generation, so he doesn't need to prove that he is a champion player again and again by taking part in the World Chess Championship. He knows very well that the championship is a high-pressure event and not a walk in the park, regardless of who the opponent is. His point was that it is not worth absorbing all that pressure for the title, when there is nothing more to prove. However, with Alireza, there is a question -- Is Magnus better than the best player of the next generation? He thinks that might motivate him to play one more championship match.
@sgc3594
@sgc3594 2 жыл бұрын
You're wrong about what he meant, he said it doesn't matter if it's not alireza, if it's not from the next generation of players, he doesn't enjoy the time format enough to continue. If someone doesn't like the time format and they don't need the championship to make money, why would they still continue if they have no passion for that format? Has nothing to do with just Alireza.

Its blitz, for some this isnt even considered "real" chess. And no, he did not imply that. He implied that he has no interest in the very specific event under the very specific format that is the world championship, where he has no interest in playing any of the "older" generation guys, but would only be motivated enough to go through the stress the world championship brings, if his opponent is Alireza, because he is the face of the "new" generation and, one day, of the new world champion.

Mwgnus missed a small winning after he forked the two rooks and when Anish girl took the pawn, Carlsen took the rook and anish giri took the bishop then Carlsen should might have taken the pawn with that knight which was being attacked by the rook on b8 then it was another fork of queen and rook and an ultimate win for him

8:12 If Carlsen did Qb3 instead of Rb3, he would have threatened check mate and obliged Giri to defend b7. But when there's no time it's not easy to see these things.

simply Rg7 and Giri can use the same attack sequence but this time carlsen can't defend g3 with the rook, I think Rb3 was better
