He didn't only go over variations with her, he is the one who challanged her to play the game in the first place, even though the difference in skill makes it like playing against a toddler for him. @@neerajnongmaithem392 Okay, thanks for that, I've just watched it through again and I'm not good enough at chess to disagree with you. Although I would say the next move he made with the knight the computer says was the best move which wouldn't have been possible if he hadn't made the "bad move" first. Like I say though you're probably better at chess than me. I've played for a long time on and off but as soon as I get to the 1500s I nearly always lose.
@SamaraVidZ
@SamaraVidZ Жыл бұрын
@@funkfireman It's actually very common to get a "best move" right after blundering, since the computer looks at the position objectively as if it was new each turn. (Ex: You realize your queen is trapped, so you trade it for a bishop out of desperation, the computer will say it's "best move" since the blunder already happened last turn, you're making the best out of the current situation)
@funkfireman
@funkfireman Жыл бұрын
@@SamaraVidZ Yeah I get that and I do agree with the comment Neeraj has made above. I'm just saying that if he deliberately made the first move which the computer thinks is dodgy knowing that the next move he could then make with the knight is the best move. Then technically for him the first move is also a good move as long as that's his plan and it works out which it did. lol :)

@@pneumonoultramicroscopicsi4065 I think it's more that those "bad" (ChessNetwork calls them "hope chess") moves have a good chance of working against weaker players. Similar to how you can play for a win with Black if your opponent is lower rated. So Anish is making the game interesting, giving her a chance to win if she finds the right moves, but also giving himself good practical chances (especially with low time) if she fails to find the reply - all in one. It's all for fun but it also makes a lot of sense to play like that. An alternative could be playing very solid and if Anna doesn't make serious mistakes herself, slowly grind her down. But that's not without risks too - there is only so many moves you can make in 2mins.
@alexeyvlasenko6622
@alexeyvlasenko6622 Жыл бұрын
I think it's necessary to experiment with questionable moves every once in a while, or one will not improve anymore. In fact, I think when chess AIs are being trained, they have some chance to make a random, almost always bad move rather than the one they evaluate as the best one. If this is not done, they fall into unproductive patterns, where they plateau at some level of skill and cease improving. It's probably the same with humans.

You could check it at the moment you played f5 or even the previous move instead of Qg4. Ask your dad about this plan, for sure he knows some Tal games with that plan. You could even check similar ideas before your g4-g5 plan. But that one was interesting, even though I wouldn't play so personally. Anyway that was nice. Yo anna i'd suggest show time on the screen too alongside digital board, because its hard to see the clock from the camera. I dont know how easy/hard it would be for you to do that though...

I love how the eval bar at the beginning favours black, which it normally favours white. I do not know whether it was done on purpose, but it is hilarious.
