I remember while being in the military I had a roommate who was a big fan of the Pointer Sisters. I had only heard maybe 1 or 2 of there songs by then. I wasn't really a fan but after my roommate talked me into going to there concert I quickly became a fan. This is my first time seeing her brother. God bless them.💖

February 11 as the doors opened I walked into Barnes & Noble for a copy of Fairytale and walked out empty handed, the book was a "Print On Demand" which I never heard of before, but in less than 48 hours I had my copy and enjoyed every page, every paragraph, every picture in the book. Just wished it wasn't such a short read. Thanks Anita and Fritz for redeeming your sister June, after the way she was portrayed in the other family member's book.

Ruth’s book provided a difficult but compassionate and realistic look on June and her struggles. It perfectly describes the way people feel when they’re confronted to the addiction of a loved one. If anything, I was saddened by the way Anita’s book overlooked Ruth’s contribution to the band...

@@Cicilo1983 Sadly, COVID 19 cheated us out of the planned book tour promoting "Fairtale." I loved the interviews with Anita and Fritz. I watch the Pointer Sisters sing and dance, but when Fritz speaks, I listen!! Maybe I can fill in the blanks regarding your feeling of Anita overlooking "Ruth's contribution to the band." IMO, Anita did that because she was mad at Ruth. One of the interviews Anita gave, she revealed that Ruth's book was supposed to be written by the duo and Ruth went behind her back and wrote it with a co-writer, using the title "Still Excited." My takeaway from Anita's interview was that, those two things really hurt her and she hinted at it in Fairytale, but during the interview, her emotion was raw. I also saw Ruth do an interview with that same person and addressed the fact that she did and said some things that hurt her sisters, which she had regrets about and was doing what she could to repair their relationships. I'm glad she didn't double down and accepted her mistakes.

@@orane3549 Thanks for this. And yes, Anita's book makes it very clear that she wrote it at a time when she was upset at Ruth. The cat comes out of the bag near the end of the book, where her frustrations on this matter are revealed. But I have to admit that up until that point, I was like, "It's as though Ruth wasn't even in the band". I wish Anita had been more objective about the events, regardless of the fact that her sister was the first to tell their tale. But it's all water under the bridge now. RIP Anita, you are missed.

@@gigiverailles7296 Yes, Ruth can do that baritone sound with little and no effort. Ruth said in an interview that June would look at her and say "you know that's your part" when a song had a low part. She also said Michael Jackson asked her if she's the one with the deep voice.
