The new Netrebko album will feature four silly videos, too. Another way of obfuscating the dreadful condition of her voice and singing. The topic of discussion will naturally turn into the quality of the video productions, gowns, etc. But not, never, about the poor quality of the singing.

@@theogoldberg8919 What exactly bothers you about my criticism? I mean, these videos they are making are totally irrelevant. Did you not see the ones they made of Netrebko? Stupid and hideous do not begin to describe them. Plus her singing is just as hideous.

This is the new trend in opera and classical music: Silly music videos à la MTV. Except that the concept is out of time and out of touch by four decades. This is not going to help develop an audience for the art form let alone a young, hip one. As I said, silly, and another symptom of the despair that has enveloped opera and classical (and it has nothing whatsoever to do with the pandemic).
