She lies about the industry, and doesn't understand it. There are foolish people taken in by her, where they hoped to use "her knowledge" to increase sales and reach a broader audience. She's got no idea how to do this. None at all. She's a fraud. When I was a kid and played, say, Super Mario Bros II (Doki Doki Panic), do you know how much I cared about "saving the princess" of whatever? I didn't. The purpose of the game is to get through it, and that's it. To goal, is to see everything in the game, and to beat everything in the game. She doesn't even understand this, simple, game mechanic. The problem I think for a lot of people that don't like to play video games is that they find the ultimate goal of the game, purposeless - and IT IS. It's you just competing against a computer, and it's meant that you will beat the computer. Many people find this to be a complete waste of time, and it is. It's just a stupid, pointless, challenge.

I never agree with some of the vile stuff people say on the internet but I've also learned since the days of Netscape Navigator that it's always a minority that take it too far and those are the ones we can't help but notice. These are not a representation of there group. Just like I wouldn't assume some a misandrist voice representing feminists. You also notice that often, these harmful tweets or comments that get screengrabbed don't have many likes or shares. In regards to Anita though, people who say constructive criticism isn't harassment or bullying. She has also been exposed for manufacturing some of this harassment she sees and has frequently misrepresented topics and used false information which naturally upsets people who love the subjects she is speaking on. She has committed fraudulent activity and very much relies on victimization of women for her platform. Majority of people want women to do well and be more equal to men in various ways but she isn't helping the cause. While I do believe people make mistakes, can change and do better, Anita recently being upset that Johnny Depp won his case is just a reminder that she is still a toxic individual who does not care about fairness and equality. Just her drive of the message of Men Bad. Women Good. If the trial was a tough call either way, I would understand outrage but that one was clear as day. I'm sure actual misogynist, who'll unlikely never change will point to this trial as evidence of women being manipulative in domestic abuse cases but I personally don't know anyone who was on Depp's side and dismissed women being victims of abuse. They were just happy to see some light shed on men being victims of abuse too and that while we should listen to women who are being abused or harrased and take it seriously, we shouldn't be so quick to destroy someone and brand them as scum until more information is collected. That is an issue with this time period and the internet. New travels so fast and there is so much stuff coming at you, striving to get your attention with clickbait headlines, that's its impossible to completely understand everything that comes your way. There's not enough time in the day. Unless it affects us directly, we skim the headlines, put our faith in some blogger or media personality/KZbin you likes opinion and maybe read the initial couple.of new articles but that's that. Most don't follow up on it later and why? There's something new to talk about then. Any corrections of follow ups may get mentioned but in a far less shared tweet. Somewhere on page 12 rather than the front page. So many news and blogs are chasing to be first rather than correct as a result and that' the information most of us go with. Will these news outlets or bloggers edit these tweets or delete them for wrong information? Nope. They'll make a new tweet put the original ones has far more likes and far more shares and that one will travel significantly farther and keeping traveling. It'll keep getting referenced in articles and these articles are unlikely to be updated but will keep showing up in Google search results. If people were willing to delete their tweets that are incorrect, have the integrity to give an update ot admit there was a mistake, maybe the internet wouldn't have so much misinformation.

Being made fun of can be hard to take, but she inserted herself by making fun of people that disagreed with her, viciously by the way, so I don’t feel that sorry for her. At least one of the “bomb” threats were fake, although I don’t agree with the nasty things people actually did say. She lied about being a gamer, she lied about a lot of things, and didn’t like being called out. Maybe don’t lie then.

Myself, I don't agree that every game has a non-feminist style just because a character is considered scantily-clad. Sometimes, a character's personality is shown through what they wear. For example in one video she complains a out the sexy side kick... And she shows Alex from half life staying behind so Gordon can progress. Anita ignore the point that Alex is saving him, helping him, and that they are partners, to perpetuate sexism. Another example was her hitman example where she claimed the game rewards you for knocking out strippers she claims have no story and are.back ground decorations. The game penalizes you for hurting the. And if you listen to them they talk about the abuse they suffer, and show support to a girl about to go through what they all had to. I am sure she had some points (and I say this with immense hesitation) but there are numerous videos showing the errors in her arguments. Also it isn't like men aren't portrayed as huge masculine heroes with impossible physiques. Lemme guess though male power fantasy? Bayonetta, Sheva alomar, Samus Aran, all of these women are sexy yes but they also have story, character development,motivations, friendships, they experienced betrayal and so much more. Why is it people like Anita only focuses on the looks it's sad.

Even if the game in question condemns violence against women, why is it necessary to include such violence in the first place? Why is it so common in real life AND in fictional universes? Anita may not have provided evidence that you find satisfactory but the problem extends beyond video games and fantasy violence. Open your eyes. Listen to the women in your life. Ask them why they don’t care for video games where women have enormous breasts, skimpy clothing and boring dialogue. It’s not fun and it doesn’t feel like an escape.
