For the French one they had to change "It all fades to black" to "C'est pas de chance pour toi" which is a very childish and playful way to say that you're not lucky or that you have bad luck (if Bruno calls your name) and it TOTALLY fits Camilo's character and whole personality! It makes me want to watch the movie in French. I love that even with the changes in the lyrics the energy stays the same.

Generally, French dubbing for Disney's movie is very good and most specifically for the songs because they know that french viewers want to watch a good movie and hear good songs too. I personally think Camilo's best singing voice is Latin American Spanish; he truly sounds like a 15yo, and latin languages fit on him better, the 'original' is always the best to be honest. by the way, even being Brazilian, I don't think Filipe Bragança's voice fits to Camilo; his voice is gorgeous indeed, but then Camilo be sounding like he's 20 instead of 15 (he's on puberty though), so his part is so sexy that it bothers me a lot lmfao. it's still my favorite part of the song in the Portuguese Brazilian version 'cause I like Filipe's raspy voice and the way he pronounces every word with taste, so does the Spanish voice actor. edit 'cause I made a personal ranking: 1. Latam Spanish 2. Brazilian Portuguese 3. English 4. French 5. Tamil (no one's talking about this one but it's so satisfying to listen)

We latinas went crazy with how young yet sexy camilo’s voice sounds in Spanish during that part. The voice actor posted a mini video of when he was recording the song and the comment section is full of people saying he’s making everyone fall in love with his voice😂 When he sings the word rats (“ratas” in spanish) he sorts of drags the first “a” and omg it sounds so good. He does that in another word too (hay) and it’s just wow😚👌 In the movie sometimes his voice it’s playful too so it just fits camilo’s personality so perfectly. However, I’ve listen to other versions and other languages sound very good as well😃👍

What I looked for in these languages are how they deliver the "when he calls *your* name" part. It's the part of the song that required the most character because it's the part of the song with 1 word that follows the common by 4 beat making it very open. That said, top 5 would be: 5. Russian - his voice is just so damn good. Nothing else I have to say (lol) 4. Polish - such a playful rendition of Camilo which is fully what is one of his main personalities based on the movie. 3. French - the delivery is very well done. And the "when he calls your name" is **chef's kiss** 2. English - the vocal rasp and growls just fit so well. Heavily surprised that the VA doesn't have any singing background. 1. Latin American Spanish - that short vocal cry on his delivery of "when he calls your name" OMG 😍. The R's and the growls ugh just beautiful

I'm so happy you ranked European Portuguese in the 7th place. Our dub is always trashed by people (portuguese and non-portuguese) because the team of voice actors is usually very small, leading to one actor having to do a lot of the character's voices. Obviously the voice quality of many characters decreases since they purposely do "weird voices" to distinguish between every character they have to voice. Anyways, I think the cast outdid themselves this time, and I'm flattered you like how Portuguese sounds :) Abraços!

I don’t like the French translations of most of the movies I watch but the "s’il prononce ton nom c’est pas de chance pour toi" is actually not that bad

this is the first time I see someone rank Polish Camilo so high! I personally love the Polish version because of the various "R" pronounciation (example: śliskich szczurów bRat, zaczeRni Ci świat ) and when he says some of the words his voice gets a different "tonation" and I just get goosebumps! and also the fact I'm Polish I understand the lyrics and always smile on the first words

None of these can come anywhere near the English version for me. The way he sings, pronounces the words, the performance in his voice… just absolutely perfect.

I love the Latin American Spanish version just a tad bit more, though the English one is awesome too! And I now officially love the Danish and Thai versions too.

I was very happy to see EU Portuguese so high up! We usually don't get a lot of recognition. I really like our Camillo voice too, thank you for the video!

As an Italian, I believe the English, Italian, and Japanese versions are so clean sounding, and they bring a whole new environment to this song. Even the whole movie- an amazing film :).

My favourites are 1. English 2. Greek 3. Latin American Spanish But I have to say that in every language Camilo is given something special from it's voice actor! And that's amazing. So I have to say that I really liked every single one of the voices, because they are beautiful and unique ❤️

Even though I'm an English speaker, there is something magical about the Spanish version. It's like...the perfect levels of playful but creepy. It's also a higher pitched voice compared to a lot of the others, and I like that. English and Spanish are probably tied for me though, the way "SEVEN. FOOT. FRAME." is just a very sudden, stark jump from Dolores' part is just great. But I'm biased. I speak English haha. But both of them hit the right sort of pronunciation on "When he calls your name/Al oír tu nombre" for me that I don't really know how to describe but really like and many of the others are missing."

I absolutely love the English and Spanish versions because they feel like those were planned since the beginning. Cantonese with the impression of bruno is such a delight to listen to and so is how he sounds in European Portuguese. What did surprise me as someone who's dutch and is very familiar with how shit the dutch translations are...is how good Camilo sounds in dutch. Like...how did they get someone to suit him so perfectly? Like it's definitely no cantonese, English or Spanish but...for once I am not banging my head against my table asking what went wrong. He sounds like he's having so much fun playing Camilo too.

I agree that Dutch dubs tend to be kinda shit, but holy hecc this movie did well in Dutch! There's a couple moments where I did cringe (Mirabel talking about how she's gonna save the miracle isn't done great), but overall it actually wasn't that bad!
